Copy/Inspired/remade blah blah is very common. Hollywood movies copied/inspired/remade from Indian films http://www.scoopwhoop.com/entertainment/hollywood-movies-copied/ There is no one-way traffic. It is common for artists to get inspired by other artists across the world. Subconsciously, they get inspired. I am not talking about scene-by-scene illegal copies here. Don't we hear Sonu Nigam and how he is inspired by Rafi saab - he gives the Rafi touch in a few songs. Same with Abhijeet and Kishore, SRK and Dilip Kumar and many examples.

Assuming the accuracy of that list, that is a small sample when you consider the history of Ind cinema and how it has copied from Hollywood .... Your example is like Pak claiming Ind is terrorist state too based on a few groups On copying, it is acceptable if you can also mix your originality with it (or it becomes a remake). However, it is RIDICULOUS to copy most of the scenes from various flicks and stitch it together and present it as your own. And "THAT" is what is being discussed

FSPFjhiqiDU ^ People make such attempts on youtube .... In Ind, many filmmakers actually do that in the whole film and their films become hits too with fanboys promoting them :hysterical: It is ridicilious that such things still happen in the 21st century when the world has become flatter

Baahubali becomes the HIGHEST Grossing film IN India beating PK and Bajrangi :two_thumbs_up:

Against all odds, Baahubali: The Beginning, the first non-Hindi film to reach even the ranks of the top 10 biggest earners in theatrical release across India, now stands at the pinnacle, the highest grossing film in the country’s history.

The captivating Telugu-Tamil language visual feast, co-written and directed by the Hyderabad-based movie maestro S.S. Rajamouli, has not only swept its home language regions, it has also conquered Bollywood and most everywhere else it has played. Baahubali: The Beginning is now the preeminent pan-Indian movie.

lol, domestically, how would Bahubali beat BB when it was released a week earlier, enjoyed the biggest opening, and when both the films are still running :haha: .... 1 week earlier release approx. = 100cr ahead .... if the numbers are accurate, a more apt headline would have been Bahubali crosses Rs5B domestically The "overseas" figures of PK and BB are amazing! Overall, BB actually beat Bahubali .... However, it will be hard of BB to cross PK total gross

So you expect Bajrangi to make 80 crores more than what Bahubali will make from now on in India ? :hmmm: Its 3rd week collections from July 31 to Aug 5 ( 10 days ago ) was ~ 28 crores. 4th week will be much lower :-
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s third week collections have been good. On Friday (July 31) it earned Rs. 4.11 cr, Saturday (August 1) – Rs. 6.80 cr, Sunday (August 2) – 9.07 cr, Monday (August 3) – 2.75 cr, Tuesday (August 4) – Rs. 2.63 cr, Wednesday (August 5) – Rs. 2.45 cr. - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/bollywood/salman-khan-bajrangi-bhaijaan-300-cr-india-20-days-2nd-highest-grosser-pk/#sthash.UBX3RFS3.dpuf
http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/bollywood/salman-khan-bajrangi-bhaijaan-300-cr-india-20-days-2nd-highest-grosser-pk/ Bahubali is the highest grossing movie IN India so far. Period. Bajrangi won't beat it. No way. As I mentioned earlier ( and others too ) - earnings are front-loaded. Cream is over for both movies long ago.

Let's do a breakdown of Bahubali's numbers: Approx total gross = 570 crores (from the posted image) Now Approx. Hindi = 115 crores (from various sources) Approx. Overseas = 70 crores (from the image posted) Approx. South India = 385 crores (?) % breakdown Hindi = 20% Overseas = 12% South = 68% (Of those 68%, majority has to be from the Telugu version) And it is said that the top 3 grossing regions would be - Telugu, Hindi and Overseas .... From what the posters have told, TN has a cap of Rs120 per ticket So let's break South further Assuming that entire Telugu = Hindi (overall) = 20% Remaining 48% to Tamil, Malayam and Kannada, which means that one of the regions would be higher than 20% (also the avg of the remaining regions = 16%, which is > Overseas 12% said to be the 3rd biggest region after Telugu and Hindi) Those numbers don't seem to add up :hmmmm: .... And there is only one website that you posted that is claiming those numbers

Where did you pull these numbers from? Maybe that will give us a clue :dontknow: All that I saw in many websites is global gross > 550 crores ( give or take a few crores depending on websites). South India has Hindi version playing too. And Telugu/Tamil version will be playing in some NI centres too. Go either by language or region. Don't mix them. Even overseas, there are Telugu + Tamil + HIndi versions. P.S 1 - You had no doubt about Bajrangi numbers but want to scrutinize Bahubali ...Expected :two_thumbs_up: P.S. 2 : I have assumed that you conceded that Bahubali is the highest grossing movie in India ever which means that more people IN INDIA have watched Bahubali in theatres - more than any other Indian movie EVER.

I have no idea why you post a reply and edit it 4-5 times. Why the **** are you assuming entire Telugu = Hindi(overall)? Give me one reason and then we can discuss further. Baahubali is a Telugu movie ( + Tamil as quite a few actors can speak Tamil ). That is their bread and butter. Major collections are from Telugu....Bahubali Telugu should be more than double what Bahubali got from dubbed Hindi version ( not at all surprising as the previous all telugu Blockbuster made > 180 crores with no other language release) You have ZERO idea about the craze for movie in AP + Telangana. Hyderabad has/had more theatres than Mumbai.

I gave rough estimates, but appears as if you are speculating too .... and there is ONLY ONE website that claimed that (and you posted that) Now if you are saying Bahubali Telugu = 2X Hindi, then the result is skewed (and does not reflect the whole Ind's perspective properly) :winky: Also Bahubali was released in approx. 4000 screens world wide. 1600 of those were in Hindi belt, which is approx. 40%, so if Telugu version grossed 2x Hindi version, it would have got roughly 80% .... the total is 120% so again the numbers don't add up :--D

See I am neither for or against BB (a less crappier film) but, unfortunately, I have to support it vs. Bahubali (a more crappier film and because of the shady promotions practices the maker adapted) Note that the overall gross of both BB and PK > Bahubali so .... .... Also the footfalls of BB are higher (Link .... And the numbers of Bahubali are questionable

^^^ You have no idea of week 1 release, no idea of reduction in theatres,, no idea of language and region differentiation - nothing. Fact is :- Bahubali is the highest grossing film ever in INDIA More people in India have watched Bahubali in theatres than any other Indian movie so far. :two_thumbs_up:

and you got all the ideas based on what an article on a non-movie website said :hysterical: I would agree with you if your claim is for the Telugu version :nice:
