Is this the first time in an ODI that all 13 players involved were Hindu ?

During the 52 run second wicket partnership between Soumya Sarkar and Litton Kumar Das, I think all the 13 players involved for first time ever were Hindu (assuming all 11 Indian players were Hindu). For the Bangladesh society in general , the emergence of Soumya Sarkar and Liton Kumar Das is quite important. National heroes from the minority community always gives them a sense of belongingness. Will also promote the bengali nationalism that created Bangladesh and keep the religious fanatics at bay.

Might have happened before when WI/Lanka/Kenya/England locked horns with us or if Kapali and Baishya were involved in a partnership against us(provided no minority cricketer from India was in our XI :P ). For sure remember Samit and Bopara involved in a partnership against us in the dreadful 2011 tour(no Zak,Irfan,Bhajji,Munaf all 11 Indian layers were Hindus) in either one of the T20s or ODIs. But nice to see Bangladesh in the same boat. Hope Soumya and Litton become not only popular among Bangla Hindus but also the Muslims. All hail Bengali nationalism for which so many sacrifices were made by martyrs.:two_thumbs_up:
