surajmal Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Firstly, if a VIP hadn't been involved no one would find out about this accident. Secondly, the driver of the alto should be booked for manslaugther. Having seen first hand, majority of drivers in India don't know how to take a left turn (or any turn for that matter). Thirdly, mandatory seatbelt law can't come soon enough in India. Fourthly, Nothing to see here. Indians are the worst drivers in the world; have the worst roads in the world. Hence, have the most numbers of road accidents in the world.
Texan Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Looks like the anti-BJP media wing is working in full force to blame Hema Malini for "fleeing" from the accident site. I am sure many of them have linked this act to Modi as well. When somebody is injured and bleeding as she was, the rational thing most people would do is to get medical attention for oneself, which she did. Sad to see a life gone, that too of a little girl. Not much Hema could have done at that time though. One lesson to take from here would be that hopefully, people in India will invest in a good car seat for their children.
Tapioca Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Did she flee ? I thought she was injured and needed medical attention. Even if she did flee, can't really blame her. In India, if you are involved in an accident and you have the bigger vehicle, you are in for big trouble if you don't flee, even if it is the other guy who caused the accident.
amiret Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 The car of a doctor that was behind Hema 'S CAR TOOK Hema malini to hospital and left other victims on road . Hema even asked for her 5 bags to be loaded with her. Now with what face she will contact the other family the BJP politician is blameless as she was badly injured . But Surely the Doctor could have tended to the other victims also ?
G_B_ Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 all injured should have been taken to the hospital asap. I wont blame Hema though, but her entourage and the doctor should take some moral blame. Will be interesting to see who caused the crash. There is a good reason why rich and even upper middle class people in India hire drivers. Its a nightmare on the streets. Its exactly why i dont blame Salman Khan. Having driven in mumbai at night in the monsoons the roads were slippery and the footpaths full of people.

Its not just the poor. Even middle class people dont. Look at Gopinath Munde, the difference between life and death was a seatbelt. It shows the general attitude.

Perhaps, the government should run some campaigns to encourage people to have these features in their car and buy good car seats for their kids.
