Understood. But it was a pretty dumb retaliatory move.

 

Here's why: India banning Pakistani artistses hardly has any impact on the commercial prospects of Indian movies and the movie industry in general. This is because the likes of fawad Khan, Ali Zafar are hardly stars in india and are usually just playing second fiddle roles. So, the impact of banning these actors has almost zero impact. On the contrary, by banning Indian films, Pak theaters foot their foot in their mouth. They knew very well that they cannot sustain such a ban over any decent length of time. In less than two months, they suddenly lost all their patriotism and went back.

 

Of course, foot in mouth syndrome is not a rarity in Pakistan.
