Nope. 2G scam judgement was passed in 2012 against DMK minister A Raja after DMK came out of the alliance with Congress in 2009. Similarly Rungtas was jailed and judgement was passed after BJP came to power in May 2014. Edited January 21, 2017 by Forever Indian

The SC can certainly order a proper independent Audit on any organisation where wrong-doings are identified. Then the recommendations from that audit needs to either be implemented or countered sighting valid acceptable reasons. This is what the BCCI failed to do and so was reprimanded. Whether the Lodha panel was the correct team to do the audit is a different argument. But the team did get Cricketers like Ganguly involved as advisories. Could they have involved more Cricketers/administrators? - I believe they could have. Edited January 21, 2017 by Forever Indian

As I said SC can ask for an independent audit to be carried out in any organisation. It should not however interfere with appointment of it's admin, which I also agree with.
