Trichromatic
I was reading that projection article on cricinfo about where the modern batsmen are likely to end their test career in terms of number of runs. SRT just missed to cross 16k runs in 200 matches. But no other player has played 200 tests. Usually (not always) batsmen have better FC averages, higher scores and tons. So you would expect some of them to cross 16k mark in 200 FC matches at least. Question is which batsmen since 1970s have crossed 16k mark by 200 FC matches? Richards Sobers Lara Ponting Kallis Sanga YK Dravid Waugh Hayden Miandad Inzi Gooch Border Chanderpaul Boycott Guess the names. Link to comment
rkt.india
you are taking Tendulkar's test numbers and others FC numbers, why? SRT has over 25K FC runs in 310 games. Link to comment

SRT has over 25K FC runs in 310 games. 1. No one else has played 200 tests. 2. Usually players have better numbers in FC cricket. Number of triple centurions in FC cricket in last 5 years is way higher than number of triple centurions in tests for India. Number of players averaging 55+ would be higher, and same goes with lot of other records. Fastest to 10k runs in internationals in 195 innings while fastest to 10000 FC runs in India itself is 160 innings. 3. So you would expect that since so many great, ATGs have played 200+ FC matches, at least some of them might have crossed 16k in less than or equal to 200 matches. That's what I asked - of all those batsmen who are those? Link to comment

Trichromatic
Just now, rkt.india said: what's your point? how does it matter? how many FC games SRT took to score 16K runs? Point is already mentioned in OP. Just a stats question. Tendulkar crossed 16k mark in less than 190 FC matches, that I know. Link to comment
