Cricket Tragic Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 Saw him at the U19 WC and was impressed. He also did well in SL but looked pretty poor against the spin vs Pak and India. He played some big shots towards the end but he still needs to work the ball around better. Link to comment

Today he survived due to magnanimity of Indian fielders but it won't happen too many times. He needs to tighten his game to succeed at intl level else he will keep on getting attractive 20s and 30s and nothing much. Link to comment

Karan114 Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 Definite weaknesses against spin but he's only 21 so no reason he can't improve on those. Most impressive is that he tries to fight it out even if he looks ugly. A lot of WI batsmen in recent years have lacked that sort of determination. Him and Adrian Barath (who also needs to improve his game against spin) give some hope for the WI batting in the future. Though Barath needs to improve his fitness - already so many injuries in a short career. Link to comment
