Desi Cartman
Thanks .. so if India can get couple of early wickets of inexperienced openers then they are more than likely to struggle to even get to 300 ... Link to comment
arkay
is this for last innings? Link to comment

Desi Cartman
the above stats anyway show that ALL sides struggle if they lose couple of early wickets so now we can fairly blame Jaffer for the first 2 tests Link to comment
Cricketics
and if we dont get early breakthroughs the avg 4th inngs total for Aussies is 319 which is almost double :nervous: well there tail is not that great this time around.. surely with brad hogg in there , it looked decent just like englandz tail with ashley gilez in it... Cricketics
lol ... all 4th innings chases for Aus at Perth ... and the result ' date='target , wkts lost & opposition are listed as well ... this ground has very few matches played on it compared to other Aus grounds hence the smallish looking list.[/quote'] ya replied at same time.. it sucks that such few matches have been played and also mostly played against england.. thanks for the stats though Link to comment
Cricketics
Now this is worrying guys ... India Australia 342 8 339 lol that was in 1977 dude, none of the current bowlerz were playing.. haha and none of the aussie batsman were there Link to comment

Desi Cartman
lol that was in 1992 dude' date=' none of the current bowlerz were playing.. haha and none of the aussie batsman were there[/quote'] oh ok but I still think if India sets them anything lesser than 350 then Aussies have more chances of winning :nervous: Link to comment

dial_100
another thing I noticed is that very good fast bowlers always got the team out for less than 400 runs. Only our team with good fast bowler + a good spinner are exceptions. Part time spinners never worked there... Even english spinners, SL spinner and NZ spinners didn;t work much. Kumble is a different breed. Besides us only WI managed a good show there with Ambrose, Walsh & co. So chances are Aus will find it very difficult to keep the momentum going to win. To win, they will need 100 runs partnerships 2 50 runs partnerships 2 10 runs partnerships 3 and rest are 5 runs per wkt. so basically, 200 + 100 + 30 + 15 would be = 345 now this will need some efforts... Now think that do they have 7-8 batsman to give 2 big and 2 medium partnerships??? I doubt its possible. If we manage more 3-4 wkts in first 25 overs then we have the game....or else anything is possible. Link to comment
