Aus vs NZ performance in ODIs in India - 2017

Looking at the ICC ODI team rankings, one would’ve expected AUS for a better performance in LOIs against India, in India.

 

However, as things turned out NZ did well as compared to AUS.

 

What’d could be the reasons according to you?

 

PS: Being an MI, I see NZ players have improved a lot due to their association with MI & champion batsman like Rohit Sharma...

Finch missed the first two Odis and well starc and hazlewood were two glaring misses and behrendoff inexplicably didn't play any Odis. Had they all played, well the score line would have been different.
