never ever should dravid b sent 2 open pathan was the only option, it was a risk though if u get no1, send bhajji 2 open, but not dravid
Dang! We wanna take everyone who can contribute in the lower order and waste them in opening! Pathan and Bhajji can score in the lower order, leave them there. Let RD or VVS open to take care of top order business

I still think it was a mistake to go with 5 bowlers because everything hinged on a coin toss but we've done amazingly well to make over 500 after being 350/7. Amazing batting from Kumble and Bhajji! Next time the opposition's tail wags against us, I hope for once we'll stop hearing how wonderful the Aussies are, at decimating the tail.

Great idea to go with 5 bowlers. Dropping Jaffer made no difference to the score. His replacement - Pathan scored more than Jaffer would have been able to. Let's see how we deal with the Aus batting now. 5 bowlers gave us the best possible chance of beating the Aus.

With RP Singh getting crocked' date=' 5 bowlers doesn't look that bad a decision now, does it ? People are quick to run their mouths without thinking...[/quote'] Strange logic, you dont decide your selection based on injuries that could happen to players.

Strange logic' date=' you dont decide your selection based on injuries that could happen to players.[/quote'] Maybe not, but even so - playing 5 bowlers gives you a better chance of taking 20 wickets. Adelaide's is a pitch known for producing big scores, so it doesn't hurt to have the extra bowler. India needs to go for the win no matter what. By picking 5 bowlers, they have given themselves a good chance of doing that.
