Mr. Wicket
India made heavy weather of getting 160, but keep in mind that Saint Gilchrist, Hayden, Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Symonds and Haddin couldn't even get 160 in the first place. Puts a lot in perspective. Link to comment

Anakin
:haha:Laugh all you want but IKP has better technique than GG and UV and that's quite funny too. Link to comment
chanakya
I don't think semding Pathan at #3 was a mistake by Dhoni. Obviously he wanted to protect Gambhir from a rampaging Lee firing everything over 147kmph. He must have thought that Pathan could handle him better with his superior batting technique. And he did so, by not giving Lee a wicket in his first spell. Gambhir eventually was dismissed by Lee but that was much later in the inning. I thought it was a sensible move. I think only the two of us thought along those lines. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
only if tyuvraj comes back to his old self then this makes a good team.. Only time I see probem is when we encounter sporting pitch and some tighter technique batsmen are needed Link to comment

bunny
Sending IP at 3 wasn't a mistake (although it was a given that he would get out to a lefty), but it does tell you what the team management thinks of Gambhir's technique. Link to comment
