Actual bowling will always be more beneficial than supplemental workout in the Gym (as long as you have some basic strength). I mean Pathan seems to be spending quite some time in the gym. msb1991 Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 I truly respect Wasim's views but I am slightly tired of everyone saying that Ishant is physically weak. Not only does he have the strength to bowl at 145kph but he can also sustain it for long spells and several spells. This is more than Sreesanth or RP can do. As for going closer to the stumps, I think it would help massively in India or similarly low bouncing pitches, but that he should be able to stick to the same angle when he comes back to Australia or if he plays in South Africa - who have similar pitches.
