spectre Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Dhoni, Freddie join squad in Cape Town Thursday, Apr 16 2009 Cape Town: Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff united with the squad here on Wednesday to complete the line-up ahead of the 2009 Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament. Dhoni, after captaining India to a historic series win in New Zealand earlier this month, took a few days off before flying into Cape Town to link up with the team. The Super Kings, runners-up in the inaugural IPL last year, spent a week in Durban training and played a couple of warm-up games before boarding the flight to Cape Town, the venue of their opening match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday. Flintoff, who was signed up by Super Kings at the auction earlier this year, joined the team after completing a long tour of the West Indies with the England squad. He said he had fully recovered from a few niggles that plagued him in the Caribbean and was looking forward to his debut in the IPL. Vijay,mukund all deserve some exoerience. CSK management, consider yourself warned. by all means keep dhoni and raina.send all these joginders and parthivs back to the northern teams.
