bunny
There has been some really erratic bidding. But everything will be sorted out by year 3 I feel.
mhr123
How ? Your lineup has Ganguly, Gayle, Akthar, McCullum , Ponting , and we have Hayden, Fleming , Dhoni and Oram....plus we have Murali, and at least very good fast bowlers lined up ( hopefully from Malinga, RP, Pollock, Bond and Steyn)...Akthar is no big deal, he is bound to break down with injury , and if he plays he will bowl 2 good and 2 erratic bowlers. I think Chennai is easily the most aggressive and allround lineup with biggest matchwinners and importantly, we wont be stuck with any liabilities we cannot drop, like Kolkatta is stuck with Ganguly,Akthar and Bangalore with Dravid , Kumble. Chennai is going top order aggressive, and two dimensional cricketers, and we are selecting ALL excellent fielders ( MOST Important, everyone note) For sure Akhtar will not break down , he is getting $$$$ he will bowl even with 1 leg and 1 hand don't worry :D

No... Hayden > Gayle Fleming > Ganguly Dhoni > ( anyone at that number) Oram ( batting plus bowling) > Ponting Murali > everyone
bunny
Chennai I think overbid for Parthiv Patel and Fleming.
bunny
Irfan, Agarkar, Pollock, A. Morkel and some others are up next. Basically Pollock is the only star and all others are "all rounders" who will help your team composition if you can get them for around 150000 $

Sachinism
The $900,000 successful bid for Jacques Kallis by the Bangalore team makes Rahul Dravid, their icon player, the fifth cricketer to break the million-dollar barrier in four rounds of bidding so far. Chris Gayle became Kolkata’s highest successful bid - $800,000 - meaning that Sourav Ganguly would be worth at least $9,20,000 now. The other tradings in the fourth round: Stephen Fleming bought by Chennai for his base price of $350,000, Graeme Smith by Jaipur for $475,000, Herschelle Gibbs by Hyderabad for $575,000, Shaoib Malik by Delhi for $500,000, Shahid Afridi by Hyderabad for $675,000, Younis Khan by Jaipur for his base price of $225,000, Mohammad Asif by Delhi for $650,000, Zaheer Khan by Bangalore for $450,000, Sreesanth by Mohali for $625,000. bunny
Jaipur has been the smartest. They have 2 match winners in G. Smith and Warne. They also have Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal who will be good role players for them. if they can grab both the Husseys, Pollock, Ishant and also one hard hitting opening batsman (maybe Gambhir) they are well set.
