Zakhmi
BCCI had earlier set aside Rs 50 crore to finance training of sportspersons from other disciplines. According to sources, the decision to share training costs of Games athletes might incur, at least, another Rs 50 crore, taking the cricket board's monetary commitment for development of other sports to no less than Rs 100 crore. more on: http://cricket.indiatimes.com/News/BCCI_pledges_Rs_100cr_for_athletes_and_others/articleshow/2810581.cms Link to comment

Chandan
This is a terrific move by BCCI. And if it indeed is true, the ailing sports in the country might get a new lease of life. It is a very praiseworthy move! Link to comment

Zakhmi
Fund hockey Fund Football yes, fully agreed. These are the most deprived sports in the recent past. Though this move is taken under some pressure as mentioned above, still its very much needed for these sports so as to improve the facilities and the standards. Link to comment
