>it was an analogy that was directed at me. come on.. i know he is not saying it literally to my family. it still does not paint a nice picture for me. thats the difference. my analogy involved me. his involved my family, which is wrong. it involved me too. I called myself gory criminal.

>you're kidding right ? disgraceful. no I am not. Your analogy mentioned your girl friend, now she could be my sister. You said your analogy involved only you and whereas mine involved your family. Similarly my analogy involved myself. I portrayred myself gory criminal, the one who deserves to die hundred deaths.

I agree...it was distastefully wrong. As yours was even though it was not personally directed...killing women is NOT a good analogy for any circumstance, whether you are talking about your own or others. It is a brutal one and so was his.

**** you're going to great lengths to expain yourself umpire. i am so done with this. sounds like you are defending yourself now after previously apologising ? sorry for this argument to the other posters wishing to discuss cricket. totally off topic and distracting and unnecessary. please understand why i have chosen to argue this with umpire. again, apologies.

Cool. Remember, you don't own your women or family to think that you can do with them even in ANALOGY, what you want. This is the lesson. And it goes moreso for the women and families of others.

What anger? We want to learn from him the Saintly ways of cricket. And he is doing double backflip somersaults to collect the cash while we are bending over backwards too give it to him. It's an international trapeze act!

What I find funny is' date=' despite all the anger he has caused Indians, you guys are still beinding over backwards to throw money at him!! :haha::hysterical::haha:[/quote'] We have money to burn!!! Symo is a disgrace but his yob skipper sets the example and the rest follow. I fear for aussies reputation in cricket with these jack asses in the team. To think they are lining up the digraced Clarke as future skipper. Australian cricket is like a mob at the moment and things will only get worse

BCCI hits out at Aussies for sledging Indian team The Cricket Board today hit out at the Australian cricket team for indulging in sledging and provoking the Indians, saying such behaviour by the hosts was unnecessary and not good for the game. More... Press Trust Of India Mumbai, February 25, 2008 First Published: 19:54 IST(25/2/2008) Last Updated: 19:55 IST(25/2/2008) The Cricket Board today hit out at the Australian cricket team for indulging in sledging and provoking the Indians, saying such behaviour by the hosts was unnecessary and not good for the game. "The way the Australians are behaving is not good (for the game). They should not sledge our team members. It's not necessary," said BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah today. Shah was reacting to the happenings during the Sydney tri-series tie yesterday in which Aussie all-rounder Andrew Symonds provoked young Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma for which the latter was docked 15 per cent of his match fees by ICC match referee Jeff Crowe. "They (Aussies) should restrain from such things and not get into another problem", the BCCI official said. But he did not comment on the complaint lodged by Indian manager Vimal Soni about the Aussies' behaviour with the match referee. Shah defended Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his comments after yesterday's loss to Australia wherein the wicketkeeper had asked the senior players to start delivering the goods. "He's the captain and whatever advise he (Dhoni) wants to give (to his teammates) he can give," the BCCI secretary said. Shah also said the World Cup under-19 team which has reached the semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur would be protected from being distracted by franchises eager to recruit them for the April 18-June 1 Indian Premier League. "We don't want any distraction for our cricketers and the board will decide which team they will go to," he said.

'Symonds had complimented Ishant Sharma' According to the daily The Age, Symonds has told teammates that he uttered, "Well bowled, champ" to Sharma before the Delhi youngster reacted. More... If Andrew Symonds is to be believed, then the controversial all-rounder had congratulated Ishant Sharma after his stumps were rattled by him. And the rookie Indian bowler took the "compliment" as sledging. The 19-year-old was fined 15 per cent of his match fee after his retaliatory outburst following Symonds' dismissal in the 47th over. The pair exchanged words as Symonds walked off, and Sharma was spoken to by on-field umpires Daryl Harper and Tony Hill. According to the daily The Age, Symonds has told teammates that he uttered, "Well bowled, champ" to Sharma before the rookie mouthed off and pointed towards the pavilion, apparently misinterpreting the gesture. It was then that Symonds fired back with his own unpleasantries. Sharma was later fined by the match referee while Symonds went scot-free. India immediately pointed the finger back at Australia and said the only reason a formal complaint was not made was to avoid another drawn-out judicial hearing, similar to the hearing that followed the Harbhajan Singh-Symonds racism row during the Sydney Test. According to new hall of fame wicketkeeper Ian Healy lip-readers in Channel Nine's broadcast van discerned Symonds to say: "Good ball, champ." "Whether it had a bit of cynicism in it or not, I'm not sure," Healy said. "Sharma was holding his standards pretty well, and then when he thought Symonds said something worse, he carried on in a way that is a little too personal for mine."

Peter Roebuck came on HT today, and he was asked to comment on Symo being let off, he starts talking crap like Ishant was the one who provoked. And Indians aren't 15 yr old kids and other blah blah... And I think he said this is the general & non - Indian perspective, which is bull sh1t. Even match referee crow buys the argument that Sharma was provoked:

Match referee Crowe agreed with the Indians' defence in the Sharma hearing. "The gesture was a direct breach of the ICC code of conduct. I took into account the fact that Sharma may have been provoked and that this was his first offence and hence the penalty was at the lower end of the scale," Crowe said. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23275222-2722,00.html
Then why Corwe let off Symo, is another question though. Peter Roebuck seems to be acting a bit weird off late, this was the same man who wondered why India didn't pack their backs, after the Aussie behavior at Sydney which is pretty much lesser compared to convicting a person of racism without evidence, but found fault with BCCI for supposedly threatening to quit. Seems like he has began to take the more conservative stand. He also didn't answer to the specific question of why Symonds wasn't pulled when he was also at fault. He said thet the instigator must be punished who he reckons is Ishant, Yet I have not seen him say that Symo should be punished for the monkey row why? And he also forgets that, the law doesn't say abusive language is okay, if you are provoked. people should also read this jingoistic nonsense from Peter Roebuck, ironically, days after he wrote this he had to hit out against Australia for their behavior which he had just praised!
