Kartikey
hahahaha, before the auction, Punter was talking about how his team didnt want to go and they wanted to play in the IPL and now because of his price hahaha Link to comment
fineleg
Hahaha :hahaha: Bring it on! Let the loserz Punter, Symo and CA fight amongst themselvez :hahaha: :hysterical: Link to comment
Kartikey
the bad thing is both Punter and Symmo are already in such **** form, they cant actually get worse. If we can piss of one of their bowlers, then balle balle. Link to comment
16 str8
Common sense solution by CA. If any player doesn't wish to tour because of safety concerns, that's fine. But they wont be able to play anywhere else during that time. Anway, if Australia tours Pakistan, Symonds will go. Link to comment
fineleg
With Auz playerz itz more a case of dollars sense, than common sense :D Link to comment

mhr123
"It's great to play for Mumbai along with Sachin, but it would have been a lot nicer if we had Symonds, who is such a wonderful player." Harbhajan Singh's regret after the IPL auction http://content-www.cricinfo.com/magazine/content/current/story/328723.html Link to comment
cochise
The comment was tongue in cheek from Harbhajan, I think. As for the Aussie auction and pricing, tomorrows match is going to be interesting...I will be watching the interactions and expressions of the Aussies on the field, especially Ponting and Symonds. 16 str8
It has been quite a spectacle though' date=' 16str8. And somewhat undignified to boot.[/quote'] To an extent yes. I agree. What I find funny is that the Australian players are singled out by some Indians and labelled greedy and money chasers. Yet they put themselves in the auction, just like every other cricketer. But I guess prolonged success is bound to make some bitter. Link to comment
cochise
No, it's not prolonged success. The Aussies were admired and still are, for being a champion side. However, the Sydney fiasco and the Aussies taking things off the field has left the Indian fans bitter at their perceived lack of sportsmanship. You can see that in the above replies. However, I would caution you to not argue too much with one-eyed fans...I am sure you are familiar with AFL? Can you convince a one-eyed Collingwood fan to be objective? Same here. Link to comment
16 str8
And why would you imagine that? The fact that you felt it neccesary to single out "white people" in your previous post was a pretty good indication. Also the fact that you apparently enjoy this was another. Although I'm not sure what "fighting over money" you were referring to.. Link to comment
Kartikey
I bet Symonds will play in the IPL. The BCCI will have discussions with CA, and obviously only can win.......... Link to comment
cochise
16str8, I think the reference to "white people" is a colonial hangover. Last time round, they were stealing Indian resources and manpower through the mechanism of colonisation and subjugation. So, the current scramble for Indian money is not novel in itself, but the power equation is completely reversed, which makes it rather conspicuos in Indian eyes. Link to comment

Also the fact that you apparently enjoy this was another. Although I'm not sure what "fighting over money" you were referring to.. Ah, you seem to have taken it in an entirely different way. May be its my mistake not to make it clear. We have seen Indians and south Asians go to western countries to earn money. Its not an everyday affair when it happens the other way. Yes, I am enjoying it because its a clear indication of India's progress. Today we have the western people wanting to come to India to make money. Yes, I am sitting back, watching the circus and enjoying it. Link to comment
DomainK
And 16 str8, I made a comment on the ongoing affair. It was not really necessary for you to make a personal comment on my life's state. You can agree or disagree with what I say, but do stay away from getting personal. Link to comment
