Will the world test championship make teams more risk-averse?

The "pitchwatchman" thread, where someone was proposing that teams must reverse their batting order if they get put into bat under bad conditions,, got me thinking about risk-taking by test captains in the new era of "Test championship" where every match counts for something.  As it is, this kind of radical thinking is rare.  But will the increased fear of failure - that such tactics may back-fire big-time costing a lot of points - make it even more so?

WTC is like IPL in the manner that you need to win games. Will that stop the captains from taking risks (to not lose) or make them take more risks (to win a game), would depend upon the captain and the team 

 

if a team is ahead, it will reduce risks to not lose and vice versa to win 

 

As for Ind, the strategy appears to be more about trying to squeeze in preferred/favoured players in the 11

We played risk averse cricket to save net run rate in a frickin odi wc when we were already topping the charts. So risks in tests is not even up for debate.

 

Anyway taking risks are usually associated with dark horse teams like Pak,Wi and Nzl not with the top teams in the world like Ind,Aus,Eng or back in the day SA.
