Top ODI batsmen of All Time - Cricinfo

I skimmed through it so may have missed details but can see why factors such as runs and x-factor have been built in    ....  Aus batsmen such as Ponting and Gilchrist probably get more points (Major) for winning more WCs so impacts their index numbers   

 

 

Mainly interested in the WBA (weighted batting avg) & SR:  

 

 

• Richards still tops in SR while keeping an astonishing average. Only Sehwag could come close, who avgs 10 runs less when playing at that type of SR .... ABDV is brilliant too with his avg & SR .... Richards 

 

 

As for Indian players (7 on the list): 

 

• Tendulkar was exceptional in ODIs so good to see him top Ind's batting list 
• Kohli has the highest avg 
• Dhoni is in top 10. Batting mainly in MO, keeping & captaincy = Ind's most valuable ODI cricketer overall imo  
• Sehwag continues to do well on such analysis. In top 10 on this one just behind Sachin, Virat & Dhoni 
• Ganguly gets in (could be due to the "runs" factor built in. placed above ABDV  )
• Rohit has the lowest SR among current Ind batsmen on this list. 2nd lowest overall 
• Yuvi makes it to the list

• Richards has 2 innings in the top 10 
• Jayasuriya has 2 in the top 20

Pakistan too like that knock in S’pore  but v Ind he has played more memorable knocks including the one in 1996 WC where Prabhakar bowled spin

Great list except 3 big surprise.

1.Ganguly should be below Sharma and abd.

2.Jayawardene.LOL

3.Sehwag is too high on that list.
