OK, I will go ahead and answer this.  It is really pretty simple and everyone I am sure knows this, but is hesitant to post it.

CoViD-19 is real.  If it was not, the number of weekly deaths (including obesity, diabetes, BP) would hold steady year to year like shown for 2015-2019.  But CoViD-19 caused 25% more deaths in 2020.  For people yapping about comorbidities - those comorbidities would not be co-morbidities except for co-Vid.  Yes, those people with diabetes and BP and obesity were more vulnerable than others, but remember, they would still be here if CoViD didn't happen.  If they didn't get CoViD, most of them would not gone to ICU for their BP and diabetes.  They would manage it themselves.  CoViD, not their comorbidities, took them to the hospital and resulted in their death in 2020.  That, is the red line.

It has been claimed on ICF and elsewhere that comorbidities like diabetes, blood pressure and obesity is the reason people are dying, and Covid is just an excuse.

No. A million times No. Most those hypertensive diabetic obese people would still be here if they were not infected by the covid virus.  This is not as if Covid patients dying in a car accident are en masse being classified as covid deaths.

AstraZeneca to withdraw Covid vaccine

AstraZeneca said it was "incredibly proud" of the vaccine, but it had made a commercial decision.

It said the rise of new coronavirus variants meant demand had shifted to the newer updated vaccines.

Its vaccine was estimated to have saved millions of lives during the pandemic, but also caused rare, and sometimes fatal, blood clots.

In a statement, AstraZeneca said: "According to independent estimates, over 6.5 million lives were saved in the first year of use alone.

"Our efforts have been recognised by governments around the world and are widely regarded as being a critical component of ending the global pandemic."

It said the development of new vaccines that more closely match the mutated forms of Covid that are now circulating meant there was a "surplus of available updated vaccines", leading to a "decline in demand" for its vaccine which is "no longer being manufactured or supplied".

Prof Finn added: "I think the withdrawal of the vaccine simply reflects it's no longer useful.

"It's turned out that this virus is very agile and it's evolved away from the original vaccines, so they have in a sense become irrelevant and only the reformulated vaccines are likely to be being used now."

The EMA said later Thursday that it did not recommend suspending use of the vaccine.
The agency said it was aware that Denmark had suspended use but that there was "currently no indication that vaccination has caused these conditions, which are not listed as side effects with this vaccine."
"The vaccine's benefits continue to outweigh its risks and the vaccine can continue to be administered while investigation of cases of thromboembolic events is ongoing," the agency added.
The EMA also noted that the number of blood clots seen in vaccine recipients was no higher than the rate among people who had not received the shot in Europe.

All politics aside, is this true?

(# of vaccinated people with blood clots)               (# of unvaccinated people with blood clots)

____________________________________________     >     _________________________________________________    ???

(total # of vaccinated people)                                 (total # of unvaccinated people)

Simple math.  Even a biochemist like me can do it.  In the end, this is not about UK or US or EU or India.  Who cares where the vaccine is from, who made it, national pride, international politics etc etc.?  The only question is "What do the data say?"  That's all that matters.

Last week, we justifiably expressed extreme pride that Covaxin, India's first successful indigenous vaccine, had cleared approval, signaling new frontiers for Indian biotech.  But being an Indian vaccine should not give it a free pass.  If, tomorrow, there is significant safety concern (see above equation), then we must objectively call for it to be halted.  National pride does not matter above people's lives at that point.

See , there are two parts.  Everyone would like to drive Ferrari, but can they afford it. Before someone jumps that yes, pfizer is affordable Because its just say $50 per dose , they need to check how many -80 degree storage facilities we have in India.

Now, someone got a vaccine and then he had cardiac arrest at center. Should competitor/opposition not use that as evidence and say, after vaccine there was a cardiac . Please note, they wont claim that there is a link, but will do enough to cast doubt. If somehow they can get cctv footage, that would be enough to declare vaccine causes cardiac arrest. If government is on their side, well and good (Like EU astrazenca case), if not, there is still possibility of spreading rumor via twitter and news media.

So don’t try to talk common sense

Previously, I was skeptical of the claims against the Astra-Zeneca vaccinations related to blood clots.  There is a lot of new information coming that has made me walk back my skepticism some.  While the overall ratio of blood clot appearance is much below the general population (which is what my original opinion was based on), there seem to be some specific trends - beyond the political - that need to be looked at closely.  There may be a very, very small subset of people (so far the numbers are still minuscule, but they've all been younger people) who are somehow predisposed to this reaction.

Here is a long article, but well worth it.

Excerpt:

Stories linking people’s deaths to vaccinations have been among the most popular vaccine-related stories on social media in recent months—and that was true long before there were any hints of a real association. Now that health authorities really are investigating a possible, fatal vaccine reaction, these narratives will increase their reach. The first face to be linked prominently to the blood disorders appeared on Facebook on March 22. More seem sure to follow.

It may be that at some point soon a non-vaccine cause will be established, or treatments will render the condition manageable. Until that happens, though, regulators must do their best to maintain calm, perspective, and transparency. Imagine if they’d reacted more conservatively from the start, and waited to say or do anything until the number of people who turned up with this condition had reached into the hundreds. More people would have been vaccinated along the way, but the eventual loss of trust in the monitoring system for vaccines could have been far more severe.

But those hapless few will have life threatening conditions or even die , if they take these vaccinations. They could have avoided death instead, if they had taken some other vaccination or opted to not get vaccinated. There is no greater food in this late discovery

One in million run the risk of blood clot complications for AZ. Advice is clear , if u have headache for 3 days post AZ, Get urself to nearest hospital as headache could be down to clot symptoms. i think AZ is more widely used and have more data available

Did a search for "clots" in this topic and posted the above replies. Despite other posters telling there is a risk of blood clots, you rubbished their claims in the past. Now you are saying fatal blood clotting is a "rare side effect" and are blaming the mutation of virus  You are still adamant that the vaccine is not to be blamed. You have sowed your karma. Hopefully you got paid a lot to superspread this bullsht to cover your materialistic lifestyle.
