On the highlighted part, that's exactly what A tours have been used for. They are a few notches below international cricket but talented players get identified there. Unfortunately, this TM has no interest in developing them further. That's what we will get with a set of yesmen who are not qualified to be coaches.

Head has only played 2 away series I think,  the one in UAE & Ashes.  He was decent in Ashes scored a 50 & 40 odd in couple of tests.  But I agree with the point that Aussies look at the potential in young players & backs them.  Our entire system is faulty.

Tbf it's only under brat we've seen this, even Dhongi/Dada gave multiple chances to young batters! This guy feels like he doesn't need any competition from any (young) batters

Thats why shubman gill is a must here. He is the best  player of short pitch bowling after rohit.
