I had heard about AB's blog but checked it only today. Have read it for an hour now, kind of indifferent to it really. Personally I would have xpected him to share his treasuredrove of memories rather than use the blog to retaliate against media accusations/colleagues etc etc. One of the nice articles I did however read on his blog was where he replies to Rajinder Yadav, an intellactual and Hindi-English poet/writer of eminence. I liked the way AB shows respect to his Dad and admits his own shortcomings in front of his legacy.

You state: “Harivanshrai Bachchan was not just a great poet but almost an atheist…..”. You talk of how my father’s belief of “a man bowing before a statue was a servile gesture, a loss of identity.” You talk of our generation of the family unable to “display” any “literary thinking and reflection” or the “grace and culture” which is our legacy. You deride “deep insecurity” as a sign of our “cultural poverty”. On many counts Mr. Yadav, you are absolutely right. We have been unable to match my fathers’ literary thinking and reflection, nor have we been able to imbibe his grace and culture. It is quite possible that, as you mention, we are deeply insecure and culturally poor.

Aamir's 'SRK is licking my feet' comment is kicking up quite a storm. :hysterical::hysterical: For the uninitiated, read Aamir's latest blog post and then this -
Aamir tried to sugarcoat it with sense of humor but I personally found nothing funny in it. The most interesting part of these blogs(AB, Aamir etc) seems to be that human beings just get nasty when it comes to cyberspace. It is no different for message boards as it is for big time celebrities. Since both AB and Aamir claim to write their own piece on blog the responsibility shall lie with them. Reminds me of that Stevie Wonder/Paul McCartney song Ebony and Ivory. People are the same wherever you go There is good and bad in everyone.....

SRK takes cheap shots at everyone during award ceremonies and deserves any such shot coming his way. Aamir's post was awesome. :D

Exactly Gambo. How does SRK only get the license to offend others in his award functions as an MC? I guess he is getting the treatment from AB/Aamir exactly what he deserves. I guess SRK has kearnt his lesson and not quote about Aamir ever so often. In other news, I think AB Sr has lost it or losing it. He is barking at anybody who is questioning his abilities.

Can someone quote me some comments by SRK in award ceremonies which are comparable to the low class comments by Aamir. TIA.

Not cheap for you going by your comments about SRK fans. I was talking about others who have higher standards.

Wasn't there an article on TOI that AB got paid some amount for writing his blogs ?

AB must have been. A normal smart blogger wouldn't chose Big Adda for his blog. He could have taken an independent domain like Aamir Khan has done. Reliance has no doubt paid him money for the blog.
