varun Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 LOL @ this thread...we have 8 points and we are topping the points table Umm.. nope you're not .. not after this game :D
Predator_05 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Chennai are pathetic. How can a genuine sambhar sniffer develop a connection with this team of MERCENARIES ? Hardly any decent home-grown players in an XI led by a Bihari captain and without the Aussies and Kiwis, this team is as ordinary as it gets. Delhi may not win the IPL (yeah right) but at least Delhi supporters can feel content knowing that their city's finest are representing them and winning them games - Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhawan, Rajat, Sangwan are all home-grown. And they are humiliating your sh itty team on your own home soil.

I am just keen to know how you can have a sense of affinity for a team which, for all intensive purposes, is comprised entirely of mercenaries.

flamy Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 :finger::finger: This makes IPL much more interesting... I have no issues with this tho... It was Sehwag and Gambhir and Dhawan :isalute:
OriginalCopy Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 LOL ... I'm awaiting HS's reply to that :-) (Predz's take on CSK) ... some events are too predictable!
Guest HariSampath Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 ^ Two sambar sniffers won the game for Delhi today, both from Chennai. TA Sekhar who was instrumental in Delhi going for Pradeep Sangwan and Yomahesh who choked the Chennai batting in the middle overs :D....sambar tastes well with many food items :-)
Guest HariSampath Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 All Chennai hatrs take note . Even WITHOUT Hayden, Hussey and Oram, 3 main batters, we managed 169 against a very good bowling side. Morkel, Fleming, Vidyut are all new in this tournament and even then Vidyut got 54 off 35 on debut. Just wait, the second phase too will go to Chennai, see after the next 4 games.
Guest HariSampath Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 And actually Chennai didnt do too badly after the Sehwag blitz. Delhi were 113-0 in the 12th over, needing 57 off 54 balls with TEN wkts in hand, still DD won with just 6 balls to spare.....not as if they blew the target away with 4-5 overs to spare. So even with a 11 over assault from Sehwag, combined with Chennai's poor batting, the result came down to 6 balls. Murali, Goni and others did bowl well with a small target to defend and a huge opening partnership, so thers is lots to look forward to in Chennai's games from here on.
Guest Hiten. Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Chennai beat MI by only 6 runs, with their star studded line up. My point, loss is a loss hari bhai. Enough with your excuses :P
Predator_05 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 ^ Two sambar sniffers won the game for Delhi today, both from Chennai. Wow, i wasn't aware that Sehwag and Gambhir were from Chennai. You learn something new every day...
Guest Hiten. Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 ^ Pradeep Sangwan .. 4 overs 40 runs. who choked the Chennai batting in the middle overs :D....sambar tastes well with many food items :-) how exactly did he choke the CSK batting line up :hmmmm:
Guest HariSampath Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I said Yomi who choked Chennai by giving 5 runs in 2 overs....and also Sekhar who selected Sangwan
satishg Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 ^^ his middle overs caused the stress to our batsmen..morkel clubbed him for 2 sixes in his last over otherwise he wud have had excellent figures..so yea Yomi and sangwan were the ones who choked us..glen then came in the end and picked up a wicket.. and Predz its not abt ur home grown roti guys v are talking abt..its abt Yomis bowling and TAs coaching to the younger bolwers in ur side..
Guest Hiten. Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I said Yomi who choked Chennai by giving 5 runs in 2 overs....and also Sekhar who selected Sangwan But the chase wouldn't have been this annihilating had Sehwag and GG (who are from delhi) had not bat like they did today :haha:
Guest HariSampath Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Chennai beat MI by only 6 runs, with their star studded line up. My point, loss is a loss hari bhai. Enough with your excuses :P Its only one game, and yes Chennai were outplayed..I had always been saying from the begining that only DD have the strength to challenge Chennai, but hey, both sides have won 4 each, so whats the big deal...punjab beat Delhi too, and we thrashed them soundly...I still say that DD are too dependent on Sehwag/gambhir...in the last 4 or finals stage or for that matter at any time, Delhi will always be one ball away from losing the game...Sehwag getting out. But even without Hayden, Hussey and Oram, with 3 newcomers we managed 169 against a strong bowling side...we are not one player dependent, and almost all batters have been scoring...wait and watch.
