ViruRulez Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 WTF was this over 39.6 Pathan to Pollard, 1 run, 125.5 kph 39.5 Pathan to Pollard, no run, 128.0 kph, yorker here, outside off, digs it out 39.4 Pathan to Pollard, SIX, 102.5 kph, A slower ball too many. Pollard picks this length ball, and lofts this for a flat six over long-on. That's Pollard's personal best too. Do we have a game on again? 39.3 Pathan to Pollard, SIX, 110.5 kph, Pollard into the 90s. With another push for a six. A mere flick off the pads, and it clears Rahane easily at cow corner 39.2 Pathan to Pollard, no run, 102.2 kph, another slower ball, mis-hit towards extra cover, Raina makes a diving save to his right 39.1 Pathan to Pollard, no run, 107.4 kph, slower ball, on the pads, pushed back to the bowler Why did he bowl four continuous slower balls in a single over. Only after the two sixes did he bowl normal. Slower ball mixing is not bad but WTF to try it every time for four continuous balls so that it becomes predictive. He needs to learn to use his brain too.

Trundler27 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 you whiners need to compare him to the other pieces of turd that we are taking to australia.... did mithooon do any better? and that master piece of turd vinay ko-maar is the worst of the lot Irfan >>>>>>> (Mithoon + V Ko-maar + Aravind + tenvic) Also, why was gambhir bowling irfan in the batting powerplay and not the legend mithoon when he is perceived to being the better bowler by our selectors????
pensionplan Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Keeping aside everything same old Pathan. Wides and non-deceptive off cutters. Keep the guy as far as possible from the Indian side for now. More work needed in the domestics and less interviews. Average speed of 124-125 will not work with his skill with the ball. There is nothing much there unfortunately.

Irfan was bowling much better than these guys who are just not international standard and he should be the one going to Aus.
Lord Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 2-42 from 9 overs.decent comeback I'd say.was getting swing early too

bulbul Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 so who should we have in the team - Mithun or Vinay or Arvind ?? Irfan was bowling much better than these guys who are just not international standard and he should be the one going to Aus. Vinay bowled far better than this guy if first 2 matches... Pathans bowling is equal to mithun's bowling today :giggle:
master22 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 you whiners need to compare him to the other pieces of turd that we are taking to australia.... did mithooon do any better? and that master piece of turd vinay ko-maar is the worst of the lot Irfan >>>>>>> (Mithoon + V Ko-maar + Aravind + tenvic) Also, why was gambhir bowling irfan in the batting powerplay and not the legend mithoon when he is perceived to being the better bowler by our selectors???? You hate trundlers but you like pathan whose speed is 120k:blink:Ya he is better than mithun but thats hardly a compliment!
phaedrus Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 he will be alright he plays as an allrounder. wouldnt cut it as a bowler, not with that pace. cant have PK and irfan in the same team. and PK is much better than irfan. still better than the likes of vinay and mithun. just a utility cricketer, much better
cowboysfan Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 ok first match but he still has no idea how to contain in loi cricket, clueless when batsmen start attacking him.
surajmal Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I'd like the following bowlers to be part of the national team: Pacers: Zaheer, Yadav, Aaron, Praveen Kumar, Ishant, Vinay Kumar (only just), Irfan Pathan Spinners Ashwin, Ojha, Sharma Rest can go eat ****.
bulbul Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 he will be alright he plays as an allrounder. wouldnt cut it as a bowler' date= not with that pace. cant have PK and irfan in the same team. and PK is much better than irfan. :hysterical:

Irfan was bowling much better than these guys who are just not international standard and he should be the one going to Aus.Two wrongs do not make a right. I would pick Vinay to be the better between the three based on what was on display during the ODI's and I do not care much for either Mithun nor Pathan though based on the last couple of years of efforts on the domestic circuit and staying injury free Mithun was picked more as an understudy than as a realistic option to play the Australian Tests. Cannot really lose your sleep over that and take the selectors to task for that.
Lord Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 ok first match but he still has no idea how to contain in loi cricket' date='clueless when batsmen start attacking him.[/quote'] thats the case with most Indian semers
bulbul Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 You hate trundlers but you like pathan whose speed is 120k:blink:Ya he is better than mithun but thats hardly a compliment! all just drama...people pushes for their Favourites ...Currently Vinay is far better than Pathan :giggle:
phaedrus Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I'd like the following bowlers to be part of the national team: Pacers: Zaheer, Yadav, Aaron, Praveen Kumar, Ishant, Vinay Kumar (only just), Irfan Pathan Spinners Ashwin, Ojha, Sharma Rest can go eat ****. sorry no Vinay Kumar. try some young pacers out. the likes of Tyagi and Nechim till we get the right one.
master22 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 2-42 from 9 overs.decent comeback I'd say.was getting swing early too Don't look at stats mithun has 2-32 from 7 overs, that does not make him good.Except for the first over pathan was toothless.
Trundler27 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 You hate trundlers but you like pathan whose speed is 120k:blink:Ya he is better than mithun but thats hardly a compliment! dude, yes I do hate the 'attitude' of most trundlers coz they come across as lethargic and very passive. Hence I respect PK coz he performs and behaves like he belongs to the international level even though he is a trundler. Same is the case with Irfan. The k'tka brigade has an attitude of a city beggar begging the opposition batsmen to gift their wicket away. I do understand that not everyone will have express pace, but at least compensate for that lack of pace with an attitude and variations, etc.
bulbul Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 sorry no Vinay Kumar. try some young pacers out. the likes of Tyagi and Nechim till we get the right one. Pathan and Vinay are same age...Vinay bowls faster than Pathan if Vinay is Trundler...Pathan is Junior trundler
