the don
Overwhelming favs. Will be tested in the knockouts. If they manage to defend a total in wankede its their worldcup. Bumrah and kuldeep are the keys. SRT100 1 Link to comment
cricspirit
I personally think it's between India, SA, NZ this time. 50% India, 30% NZ and 20% SA. Other teams including Australia, ENG, PAK look worse off. Lannister 1 Link to comment
deathmonger
On 10/14/2023 at 10:25 PM, Bigg Brother said: India has started like it did in 2015 wc. Had a shitty 2014 and literally no planning , out of form spinners , middle order not settled/out of form(Dhoni,Raina,Raydu,Rahane, Binny). But did surprisingly well and we had started hoping that "We won't give it back"...Same here, hopefully it doesn't end up like 2015 WC. 2015 and 2019 we were never the favourites. 2015 we would never have beaten aus or nz. we only won everything cause of the way the groups were done. 2019 was a good team but then dhawan injury plus loss of kul-cha and in the semi we were with dk, pant, pandya in the middle order. and even there we almost won. this time i'm feeling a lot better. deathmonger
one thing i'll tell you though. 2015 semi we were never faves - there were warning signs already before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlton_Mid_Triangular_Series_in_Australia_in_2014–15 2019 also the warning signs were there. we could have prolly won against nz in different conditions. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/india-in-new-zealand-2018-19-1153688/new-zealand-vs-india-4th-odi-1153694/full-scorecard https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/india-in-new-zealand-2018-19-1153688/new-zealand-vs-india-5th-odi-1153695/full-scorecard https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/world-cup-warm-up-2019-1173340/india-vs-new-zealand-1173348/full-scorecard (jaddu had made 50 here too) Link to comment
