BCCI Good for India and Indian cricketers???

Recommended Posts

Jealous people world over may curse BCCI for its actions today..But which cricket board in the world gives pension of 25K to its retired players??? which board provides Free medical insurance for its past players like BCCI does..? Pakistani Fans forget very easily while curding BCCI that on many accounts BCCI have bailed them out..? can Shoaib forget how Dalmia saved his career..? Its easy for Bangladesh to accuse BCCI for being arrogant and all that.. If not for BCCI and Dalmia...BD would not be a test playing nation even today... Its true that BCCI has commercialised the game in india...but it has benefited the indian cricket in great deal.. we have two spanking new Stadiums in Delhi, Mohali and Bombay... crores are being spent on Wankhede and other prominent stadiums.. BCCI have 50 crores to sports minister fund for developments of other games.. and BCCI has shown other sporting bodies that they too need to be professional and accountable.. Suddenly we hear that KPS Gill was removed from Hockey federation and prominent players were invited to constitute a governing body to plan for the development of Hockey.. Pressure on Foot Ball federation is increasing to brace up for a major overhaul... its understandable that people of England and Australia..the so called custodians of the game..are no more the owner of the game....they are not calling the shots any more... its also understandable that Muslims majority nations of pakistan and Banglastan who by nature are back stabbers...will forget the favours of BCCI and will not miss a chance to drag BCCI back.. BCCI and we must ignore all these hue and cries...and should look forward to strength our domestic cricket..and create a system which cn be a force to reckon with..in coming years and decades..

Load of BS and a clear example of how gullible Indians are when it comes to cricket and BCCI. The current IPL/ICL saga is exactly the reason why cricketing world, and that includes Indian cricket fraternity as well, should watch very seriously the growth of BCCI and how it will affect cricket. For starters, this whole IPL model is a straight rip-off from ICL. To compound the problems IPL acts as if they OWN cricketers around the world. If BCCI is such a good philanthropic organization why dont they compete directly with ICL and see who comes out on top? What kind of logic is it that BCCI wont allow players from any country be part of its league if he has played in ICL? This reminds me of my stint with TCS(Tata Consultancy Services). It was, maybe still is, the largest IT company of its time but it had this stupid bond where a person who went onsite had to come back and serve for twice the time period. So if you were gone for 2 years you came back and spent 4 years. This led to mass exodus from TCS and specially of good people. Today if you join any half-decent company there wont be such a bond issue. BCCI should grow a brain. Also Indian fans need to stop getting defensive about an Organization that clearly states - Team India represents BCCI and not India. xxx

WTF!!!?? :omg::omg::omg:
Even as a five-Judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court has upheld the autonomy of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in a majority decision, the two Judges who have dissented on this score have rejected the board’s stand that the cricket team playing international matches only represents the BCCI and not India as wholly incorrect. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2005/20050206/sports.htm#2

i will post the same thing i posted in another thread... There is one coaching institute in Patna ( Bihar ) which gives free tution to underprivileged talented kids for preparation of IITs...and most of their students crack IIT Entrance Exams.. Now other big commercial coaching centres wanted to take the credit for the success of these poor students..and offered them money to say that those students studied in their coaching centres...its a normal fraud practice prevalent among coaching centres.. Now how would the original coaching centre feel if their wards cheated them.. similarly..BCCI nurtures budding cricketers in India..right from under 13 onwards... it has invested in creating infrastructure...marketing...and other things.. Now how can it allow a commercial venture to grab a bite of the fruit..BCCI has worked so hard to grow.. IF ICL wants to promote cricket..they should have started with Under 13..they should have first built stadiums..other infrastructures..should have organised under 13,15,17 et tournaments... they should have gone to each and every state to create a state team... ICL is totally a commercial tournament..whose profits gos in the pocket of Subhash Chandra..while BCCI invests the money back in the cricket... This is the difference between BCCI and Zee ICL... ICL is not making any new infrastructure ..it wants the piggy back ride on the hard work of BCCI.. so its logical for BCCI to prevent this practice...

Lurker..IPL is not a straight lift off from ICL...IPL was the brain child of Lalit Modi..and he approached BCCI with this idea 2 yearsa go..its only after ICL that this idea came into frutation... Lalit Modi even approached Priyaranjan Das Munshi for Indian Football league..which Munshi declined.. and whats wrong with IPL asking for its contracted players to give first priority to IPL matches.. Christiano Ronaldo wants to play for Real Madrid..but will Man United release him...just watch the drama when it unfolds.. yes..BCCI is an autonomous body..but so is all sporting bodies in india...and since BCCI does not take any grants from GoI so GoI does not have direct control over it... and ICL is not doing any thing for the betterment of Indian cricket...its a commercial private organisation...whose main objective is to earn profit from the game of cricket.. so IMO..what BCCI is doing is right..regarding ICL and IPL.. and BCCI has always advocated for taking cricekt to many new places.. it was team india who played SA after their re-entrance in ICC.. BCCI has helped WI board and kenyan board in creating new infrastructures there... not long ago ICC had president and CEO from England..and Australia..now when india got the chance..people started to make hue and cry... its BCCI which has saved the game form the clutches of Eng and Australia...and made ICC a democratic governing body... no one made any ruckus when Eng and AUS had veto power in ICC..? its so easy for Indians to downgrade anything good..about India...or achievements of Indians..
