King Koach will, in all likelihood, play the 2027 ODI WC. He'll absolutely make sure that Bumrah's entire career is ruined. Bumrah never got a chance without the leeches and had to drag them throughout. Wish he received the support a bowler of his stature deserved. If Kohli plays 2027 WC, we aren't winning it.

We aren't winning jack s**t from the talent I see, both the useless oldies and many of the feckless newbies. That being said, it is better to invest in the latter at least, since there is some potential for growth

Look at the T20 team. If Bumrah can last till 2027 and the seniors are retired by then, I would back us to be one of the favorites.

As for ODIs, we have some promising ODI batters that can play (e.g., KL, Iyer, Gill, Sudarshan, Samson, Jaiswal, so on), but the bowling does not convince me. In Tests, we are pretty much done for the near-future until proper test pacers and batters are unearthed

And the bowling will be fine too with Bumrah, Varun C, Akash Deep, Pandya, Mukesh and a bunch of part-timers in Axar, Riyan, Nitish Reddy etc. In shorter formats you need depth and a decent bowling which we have if we make the right selections.

Most of these bowlers do not seem convincing at all in ODIs. It would be interesting to see Varun get a run in ODIs, given his List A record.

Akash Deep can keep it tight in PP overs and Mukesh is much better than likes of Avesh or Khaleel. Then we have likes of Pandya and Nitish who add a lot of balance to the team along with likes of Axar, Rinku, Parag, Abhishek etc. This is good enough when you add Bumrah to the mix. In shorter formats it's all about batting depth and we cna very well have a lineup which bats till 8. Remove our specialist chokers who can neither bat nor bowl and we would be pretty solid.
