Always shows up and performs. Also a thing about allrounders is not what just they don the field but what they allow the team to do. Batting can go hard knowing there is safety. Bowling can continue if there is a favourable matchup knowing there are decent overs left (In the Pak match Shami-Rana bowled in the 11-20 and turned on the screws. Pak batsmen were more comfy with spin but knowing there are Pandya overs in the bank just continued with these two to offset the PP where India conceded a few too many. This increased the RR and the batsmen got out slogging at a latter point). Ultimate_Game 1

So you can go hard and can recover from a top order collapse instead of the 5 batter and a long tail philosophy under Kohli where top order failed in big games and we were done. Now we've depth to handle it but I still want likes of Jaiswal and Parag to be added to the mix.

vishalvirsingh Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 i would play - GILL and Jaiswal as openers but since jaiswal is not here , rohit will open. -virat and shreyas -Rishabh Pant ( KL wicket keeping is going really down , he requires some rest) -Jaddu , Axar and Hardik would play as they are bowling OK -Harshit ahead of Shammi as shammi 's days look to be over now. -Varun is a rockstar and he is miles ahead of Kuldeep as of today, he is in form. -Sardar Arshdeep- we need him as Head is a Pain and he may be required against Head though I know Varun or jaddu or axar will get Head. so 3 pacers arshdeep+Harshit +Hardik. My reading is shammi's day's are OVER now and Harshit has learnt a good slower one too so he is looking good for ODI's and even T20's. 3 Spinners Varun +Jaddu + Axar.
