Electricity is the new currency. Due to the rising demand for Ai data centres, there's exponential demand for energy. If we meet those demands, we could attract a lot of new investments into our country. Nuclear reactors are so expensive and takes a lot of time to build. Our swadeshi Thorium reactors are still a long way away. We need a healthy mix of all the energy sources. Coal, solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, pumped hydro and battery storage. singhvivek141 1

But its 100% green and clean with long term sustainable potential. Coal we have in abundance, but pollution is an issue. Other sources, well they all come in with their own limitations. Solar is quite feasible in Gujrat & Rajasthan...but come down to West Coastal belt or North East..when it starts to rain it will rain for days. But steps are being taken at the major airports and railway stations to ensure they can be run on renewable sources. Kochi Airport, IGI, Mumbai Airport, Bengaluru, Hyd are some which are using 80-100% of renewable resources for their day time needs. Same for some railway stations as well.

Yes solar has limitations that's why the different mix of energy sources. Due to the huge timeline taken to construct Nuclear reactors, India is planning to construct small modular reactors with the caveat that it has proven track record. So far outside Russia nobody has any experience building these reactors and even Russia I read somewhere has built only a single reactor. Not just airports currently Solar is so cheap and abundant some of the states with abundant sunshine were able to meet their day time energy requirements through solar itself. Read this
