umpire
>It doesnt matter it matters to me, net run rate is what I look for. Win or lose is immaterial. I am still trying to figure out how can NRR got south with one lose when your NRR was 3+ Link to comment

umpire
>you wanted both points and RR to be carried forward from the first round ? yes why not. does not make sense to have 0 NRR. IIRC In World Cups they carry forward points and NRRs Link to comment

umpire
>I dont think so I am ultra positive that they carried forward both, difference is that in Super 8, they were not suppose to play the team from their group. So it made sense to carry forward both. Here we played Pak again. Link to comment

umpire
This is Super 4 is weird. India so far have played pakistan twice and SL has played Bangladesh twice (easy points) Ideally in Super 4 India should have played only Lanka and Bangladesh, Pakistan should have played Lanka and Bangladesh and Lanka only Pakistan and India. and points from group stages should have been carried forward along with NRR. Otherwise this does not make sense, not fair for both Ind and Pak. Lanka getting easy 4 points. Link to comment
Chaos
cmon india get in to finals!! Embarrising loss against minnows but hey after getting raped in the first match if they dont come back hard... they should just quit playing cricket. I thought we will get around 350 atleast the way sehwag and gambhir went on tonight. But the most retarded sh*t was how the bowlers throwed away their wickets!!! Link to comment
prince40
Oh my God India will be Out if We Lose to SL wtf for all the stuff arun lal said about run rates, crinfo says pak will get through cos of higher no of wins in super 4 stage, wat the hell! http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/asiacup/content/current/story/359418.html QUOTE- "The possible scenarios If India win against Sri Lanka, they go through to the finals, and the Pakistan-Bangladesh match becomes inconsequential. If India lose, and Pakistan beat Bangladesh, Pakistan go through. This scenario will have both India and Pakistan tied at four points, but Pakistan would head into the final by virtue of more wins in the Super Four stage. If India lose, and Pakistan lose to Bangladesh, India's higher points tally will see them through. If either of the India-Sri Lanka or Pakistan-Bangladesh games is tied or has a no-result, then Pakistan won't be able to catch up with India on points, and will be out of the final. " im mad the commentators didnt know the rules! Link to comment
Ram
For God's sake, cant we have OPs without all the masked swear words and abuses? This is crossing the limit really. If you kids out there think its cool to swear and use abuse words, then its time you grew up. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
commentators are morons , at first they said that if India and Pak are tied then Ind will go through since Indian won in group stage (didnt make sense though), then it was the NRR and now this...:hmmmm2: Link to comment
cowboysfan
If we lose to both pak and SL then we dont deserve to be in the final. Link to comment

Thats true .. but if u think about what u just posted was to happen then we are at par with Pak .. they also lost a game against us and lost to SL so why do they deserve to be in the finals ? :hmmmm2: Link to comment

SachDan
A win against SL is a must....if we loose against them,we don't deserve to be in the finals. Going through the back door won't do us any good. Remember even in the CB series our team made things difficult for themselves and made the last league match against SL crucial. Link to comment
