Except that Wankhede SF, he has been an utter flop in high pressure games, across formats. Not good signs since he is earmarked to be our next all format captain. Manucrick 1
Number Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 (edited) He is in general not a good T20I batter. Playing against substandard attacks on Ahmedabad patta is not a good indicator of ability. He shouldn't be in the T20 team. In ODIs I think he can do well. Even Kohli had a poor ODI knockout record for large part of his career. Gill already has a good WC SF knock. Gollum Posted September 29, 2025 Author Posted September 29, 2025 Just now, Number said: Even Kohli had a poor ODI knockout record for large part of his career. Gill already has a good WC SF knock. True, but Kohli's 35 in 2011 WC final is underrated. Then the 2013 CT final. Gill has 1 success (that 27* in 23 Asia Cup final could have been done by Bumrah as well) in 10 attempts so far, not good enough.
