I have listened to this on a couple of podcasts.  Delhi pitch had a lot of patches on one end. On the other end detrioration was not that much. From little i saw  India mostly used spinners from the end where they had more patches. Seamers from other end. Darren Ganga talked about reversing it. And also in one of the podcast a West Indian talked about suing seamers from that end.  That kinda makes sense. It is much harder for the batsman to react against a seamer when the ball suddenly keeps low.  I think Siraj took out Hope from that end.

 

 

Also Jadeja was overly used upfront. Jadeja averages 49 for this year.  Kuldep averages 19 for this year. But for some reason we treat Jadeja as our frontline spinner. Sundar is hardly used. We bring him on after 50th over or we don't bring him on from right end

 

Another thing is when a bowler takes a wicket he gets to bowl 5 or 6 more overs regardless of who the next batsman is and we have a better match up against that batsman.

 

If India runs into NZ you have to be at top of your game strategically. That is where NZ has wood over India. We just let the game drift due to poor strategies.
