I don't think selective handshakes work.

 

For me, the dramabazi around handshakes and players being asked to respond to it in press conferences is annoying.

 

If it was BCCI's decision to not have their players do handshakes, they should make a formal announcement about it citing that the players won't shake hands till normalcy returns.  If they are not ready to do that, they should cut out the nautanki and follow the set protocol.

Let me put this way if they shake hands i don't care.  But they won't. Because social media backlashes are determining these things.. We are at war with pakistan for decades.  Cricketers have been firendly with each for decades.  Commentators have been friendly with each other for decades.  Even until SKY's handshake was blown up by social media this was a non issue. If it is a stance purely started by BCCI that is one thing. But this was driven by social media .  

 

If you really mean you shouldn't even share the field with pakistan players. You do all that and you avoid hanshake just for  posture that looks ugly and staged.
