Maybe you're right. Sometimes younger dudes brings a fresh perspective compared to older guys who are mostly not alligned with the current world/requirements.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has provisionally suspended five individuals in connection with allegations of match-fixing and corruption during the 2025 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), according to an official statement issued on Thursday (May 7)

The board said the action was taken following findings from its Integrity Unit, which investigated allegations of gambling involvement, corrupt approaches, non-cooperation with inquiries and attempts to conceal or delete relevant information and communications.

The suspended individuals are Lablur Rahman, Towhidul Haque Towhid, Rezwan Kabir Siddiqui, Saminur Rahman and Amit Majumder.

Among them, Amit Majumder is a domestic cricketer, while the others are associated with franchise management and ownership roles. Lablur is the manager of Chattogram Royals, Towhid is co-owner of Noakhali Express, and Rezwan Kabir Siddiqui and Saminur Rahman were linked with team management operations.

The BCB said the accused have been given 14 days to respond to the allegations and will have the opportunity to defend themselves during the disciplinary process. The board added that it will not make further comments as the investigation remains ongoing.

In a separate disclosure, the BCB noted that Saminur Rahman has previously been handed a long-term ban in connection with corruption and betting syndicates during the 9th, 10th and 11th editions of the BPL. The board claimed that he had admitted to wrongdoing.

The latest developments have once again raised concerns over corruption in Bangladesh cricket, with renewed scrutiny over the integrity of the domestic T20 franchise tournament.
