The fact that this shameless exercise was stopped makes me have some hope that the corrupt and evil forces in the country can be defeated...hegemony needs to be stopped and under no circumstances should more representation be given to Hindi speaking belts..already they enjoy too much political power that they do not deserve because of population and are the hot bed of nepotism corruption and lack of education compared to southern states or Maharashtra and even gujarati...which are educated and more economically stable with better safety record for women

And BJP passing it off as women's reservation bill with PM crying about it is just misinformation. Women's reservation bill is already passed

The delimitation has got nothing to do with ministers. The size of the Govt/ministries is not relevant to this bill. This is only two make the constituency sizes equal, as some MPs have been elected by 40 lakh people in one constituency of one state, while some state constituency has 50,000 people electing  one MP. This is unfair.

 

Women reservation bill was passed in 2023 with 543 MP strength. It could be implemented only in 2029 election. But, before 2029, there is a 2026 census that will show increase population and also the deimitation freeze ends in 2026 after 25 years. Whatever reservation Bill passed in 2023 would become irrelevant with the new strength and would need another bill to be passed. Of course, BJP used this opportunity to politicize the women reservation bill for the West Bengal election only. Iss hamam mein sab nange hain
