Interesting stuff Maybe it's just my lack of perception in recent years, but modern bowling actions seem to have become more homogeneous. Back when I was a teenager, there were "signature" actions - Imran, Kapil, Hadlee all had unique run-ups, pre-delivery strides, leaps (or lack thereof) and deliveries. My all-time favorite? Malcolm Marshall. A no-frills, economic action with devastating effect. Not textbook, but pure. MgfY2VNbv7s I am surprised no modern bowlers have tried to mimic this action successfully.

I would say one thing after seeing Malcolm Marshall's action in this clip, I would not advise to emulate this action to any fast bowler. He could bowl fast with this action because he was a strong guy. His action is pretty much similar to Gavin Tong's action, though Tong's action is bit more locked that this, but use of left hand is very less. Left hands is falling down too early here in this clip.
