Do we really need captains in T20s?

Discuss if captaincy is overrated in T20s. If so, is it time to do away with permanent captains to make the coach appoint someone on the day on rotation basis to carry out plans and instructions? 

Exceptions can be made for great captains but even great captains have a shelf life. 
 

Pick the team first. Appoint someone on the day. Rotate the captaincy mantle.

Captaincy is not overrated in T20s. Maybe it is overrated in ODIs to a large extent as everything runs on autopilot there.

In T20s, how the captain utilizes his resources has a significant influence on the result. The way SKY rotated his bowlers in the T20 WC, especially against England, had a big say in our win.
