Dropthiv is a far better test bat than Karthiv. But the jury on his keeping is still out though. We'll have to wait and watch.

Yeah..Parthiv certainly deserves a chance in 3rd test. It would be interesting when Dhoni returns to test cricket (if he ever does)

Even if Parthiv scores a double hundred against all the odds, carrying the team on his shoulders 'til the very end, even refusing a single on 199 just for the sake of protecting the #11 batsman and putting the team's interests first in the process, he still won't dislodge Dhoni.

I dont think 'deserves' is the right word. But he is just lucky.
