King Tendulkar
His outstanding peformances show what a crime against India he committed by not playing in test series. WE LOST THAT SERIES and a major reason for that was cr#p keeping/batting! We may have won that if he had played. He should be ashamed he bottled that and instead is leading us to victory in masala odis! Link to comment

Predator_05
Now lets see how great a player and captain this bloke Dhoni really is! No Sehwag and no Sachin. A bunch of rookies. He wants the old pros out so he can dominate. Well here is your chance now Dhoni' date=' shows us your stuff!![/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical: Happy now ? FIRST EVER INDIAN CAPTAIN to win a bilateral series in SL. Are you enjoying Dhoni's "DOMINATION" of the Indian cricket team, dsr ? Link to comment

What a crock. We "MAY" have won the test series...what a convincing argument :hysterical: And what if the Indian batsmen had batted a little better on a dead day 1 pitch in the 3rd test, then we MAY have won the test series...give me a break. Here's another hypothetical question. If India would have lost this ODI series, you MAY have made another ridiculous thread ridiculing Dhoni ? :winky: Face it man, you tried to be cheeky by making this thread after India lost the first game by 8 wickets and now you have been shown up. Guest dada_rocks
Yes we sud carry DHOni to the field even if he is lyign on stretcher.. There is no hopes from likes of Yuvraj Singh anyway.. Despite Yuvraj no show absence of sehewga nd sachin dhoni marshals his team through responsible batting and iommaculae captaincy.... the issue of Dhoni's abiulity sud be settled for eternity now Link to comment

Predator_05
dsr, your argument has no legs to stand on. You are claiming that India might have won the test series had he played ? Really ? What makes you SO sure ? Dhoni has ALWAYS been a magnificent ODI batsman. So his good form in this series is no surprise, especially since he is coming off a rest. By the same token, we both can agree that at this point in time, Dhoni is an average test batsman - above average at best - so his contribution with the bat wouldn't have been anything substantial. Certainly ont substantial enough. Remember the test series in Australia. Who is to say that he would have carried his ODI form into tests ? He hasn't done that in his career so far. Yes, his 'keeping would have made a difference but not a big enough difference to reverse the outcome of the series. It's not like his presence would have stopped the Sri Lankan batsman from scoring off Kumble while the skipper kept bowling pies in all 3 tests ? India were largely out-classed by SL in the two tests they lost, so it's pretty far-fetched to say that Dhoni's presence would have brought India a victory. The bulk of the run-scoring has usually been done by the middle order and the openers - the middle order let India down. That, along with Kumble having his worst series in ages was a big reason for India's defeat. I don't think Dhoni's presence would have had any bearing on Tendulkar and Ganguly going 6 innigs without a fifty. It's safe to say that a Dhoni 50 wouldn't have counted for much in a heavy innings defeat like the first test. So what are you on about ? Link to comment
