Guest dada_rocks Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 LOL... i guess our neoconservative brigade is in full diarrhea form today... spewing their vile contents with absolute promiscuity... The drilling off shore will not impact current oil prices by means of increasing production, but it will drive the price down by upseting the speculation market that is marking up the price of oil on the basis of the assumption that oil production will be sparse in the future. Hence, if this speculation can be checked by means of regulations that were in place prior to 2001 when Bush fracked it all up (starting with Enron), the oil price would tumble in a matter of hours. As for the rest... this thread was not intended as what will Joe Biden do for India... that is not his job, it was to gauge the opinion of the local population vis a vis the vice president nominee. But the neoconservative brigade successfully hijacked it. You should not have bene reposing to my post in first place.. My appeal was to those who mirauclously think Obama is better for india when writing is as clear as day.. he and his polcies suck as far as india is concerned...... for american citizen: has obama anythign to offer on poil price count other than now rehassing Mccain's idea.. why not vote for original than an aping chameleon
NeoCon Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Well I really couldn't care less about India or it's interest, so my vote will not be decided on that. Instead I will vote who is truly capable of doing what is best for America and American interests. I can never vote for a Liberal because I'm not a terrorist nor supporter of one, that rules Obama out along with any Liberals from the past present and future. I'm pretty much forced to vote for McCain because he's the only choice despite not being as far right Conservative as I would wish. I know many of you here are terrorists as well, or at least no better than one, but I can't just go with the flow and vote for a terrorist like you'll would. Liberals are the traitors within who will eventually cause the destruction of the US if true Americans don't watch out.
Lurker Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 a) Rising cost of fuel and its affect on the dwindling savings. Mccain wins hands down on methods to curb that and Obama recently has come around albeit reluctantly Classic case of short-sightedness. I bought gasoline at $1:05 per gallon before Mr Bush came to power. I have bought gas this summer at 4 times that number. Currently gasoline price is hovering in high 3 dollars. In other words the price of gasoline has gone up about 350-450% over an entire Republican Presidenthood. I suppose in your words I should be thankful that gas prices has come down by 20 cents in last month, and not hold it against the present Administration that it has made me pay over 3 dollars and more since past 8 years! Sound reasoning. c) Falling exchange rate of Dollars, combined with inflation in India, resulting in less Remittance for home. And obama somehwo si goign to rest that by adopting all anti-india policies be it nuclear deal or farm subsisdy.. talk about delusion.. What has India got to do with falling cost of Dollars??? Dollar is falling because Republican party that came with a Budget surplus has now led US into a massive deficit. It has splurged on a war for which there was no need and has paid heavily the penalty. Dollar has fallen while almost every other currency has gotten stronger. You can try to spin it with Ndeal etc, but be critical where its due - US has effed up its currency thanks to the present Administration. d) All mouth and no action on Immigration. And Obama is commital there right, and moreover what the heck has India got to do with this issue anyway.. Yes he is. I have seen him make more noises about legal immigration than all the Republicans put together!! What the Republicans do is keep yapping about illegal immigration. Never for once has McCain talked about people who are in US legally and what he would do to facilitate that(Romney atleast kept uttering it). On the other hand Obama keeps talking about immigrants stuck in legal hassles, backlogs, etc etc. And it has everything to do with Indian citizens living abroad. Didnt I write specifically Even if you forget for a moment the chest thumping Evangelical perpetrating religious right here is what affects every single Indian citizen working in USA xxx
Lurker Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Hey Lurker you recall when Biden called Obama "articulate"? that pretty much ended his campaign' date=' and this is rather ironic that it is Obama who might just pave the way for Biden to be president in the next eight years.[/quote'] Didnt he say something to the order of - first articulate mainstream African American politician?? Yes Biden is prone to make gaffes, but that is also his biggest plus. He can murder the opposition with his smart wit, if he doesnt put his foot in his mouth. I still remembered how he summed up Guiliani - He only uses a verb, a noun and 911. :haha:
NeoCon Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 You Liberal parasites complain about the same thing over and over again. "Gas prices! It's all Bush fault! More bla bla etc" If you terrorists support the destruction of the US so much, then you would hardly be doing anything worse than if you were to fight alongside Al Qaeda. All Liberals are parasites that are trying to spread their idiotic and illogical beliefs global.

THX_1138 Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 He said last year that Obama was not ready for presidency. i think quite a few candidates have said that about obama... his rise has been quite meteoric, if not thanks in great parts to chance: he won the 2004 senatorial election after his opponent, the incumbent withdrew his candidacy when the details of his divorce from jeri ryan, the actress who played seven of nine on star trek voyager, became public... details that included sexual romps with strangers in clubs, and threesomes with his wife and prostitutes! one of the few reasons why i love neoconservatives: their hypocrisy in the face of evidence! nonetheless, his incredible success in the primaries against seasoned opponents such as clinton, richardson and edwards have proven how popular obama is!

Ya his rise has been phenomenal. Lets hope his so called 'inexperience' is not a factor when it comes to implementation of the 'change'. :-)
THX_1138 Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 Ya his rise has been phenomenal. Lets hope his so called 'inexperience' is not a factor when it comes to implementation of the 'change'. :-) People speak as if the President is operating alone... a President is surrounded by a legion of advisers, experts who advice him and at times destructively insulate him... much like the battalion of 'experienced' folks such as John Ashcroft, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Colin Powel who surrounded George Bush, who could easily have been one of the finest presidents ever if what he achieved for Africa is any testament.
cowboysfan Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 i like biden-he is an intelligent and not afraid to speak his mind.
sandtest Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 American... not Amreeka. i can say some pretty nasty things about your nation too. You are getting unnecessarily touchy! In rustic english, mostly people from north India refer America "affectionatelY' as Amreeka, there is nothing offensive, just a pronounciation. Be mindful of the emotions and patriotism of others. Glad that finally you have shown your patriotism...at least there is some light at the end of tunnel among hyper-liberals :--D
sandtest Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Just come out of the closet and say it: you want people to elect McCain since he would continue this war of aggression against islamic states in the middle east, and well you would rather see Americans do the dirty deeds you fantasize about. NO! That is your blind perception coupled with black and white categorization (pretty much CC like skewed thinking) of people who oppose leftist hyper-liberalism/self-inflicted pseudo-morality into right brigade, evil conservatives, bhagwa brigade etc. etc. and hence if they say anything it must be due to their "dirty" thinking about war yada yada. You need to get out of your partisan mind of Right wing evil kind of logic. I said, McCain from my observation since, he has several years solid experience in international geo-startegic politics behind him. There is no way, you can compare veterans like McCain with Obama. Moreover, Republicans simply are MORE practical towards India in 21st century -- whatever hate you or others might hold towards Bush but fact is he is the ONE who single handedly brought Indo-US nuke deal and made it a reality. Before, it would have been impossible for India to even think about sending their frontline fighters on US airbases for bilateral excercise, but republicans practical approach and ability to see the daylight of changing world, India will see several such excercises if Republicans are re-elected and many joint venture projects in defence if this grows further. Come democrats and even a minor assistance to India will be with lots of strings and lectures of morality-- do this, don't do that instrcutions!

NeoCon Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 you speak too much for the little you know... The amusing part is that this is coming from an idiotic Liberal. If you love and support terrorists so much, why not go help them in suicidal bombings?
seedhi Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 As far as Indian interests go, George Bush was easily the best US president till now. The south block had a sigh of relief when Bush was re-elected in 2004. Every Indian diplomat would vouch that McCain is a better bet for Indian interests than Obama. Obama is going to mean curbs on outsourcing and more importantly resumption of the morality lessons about renouncing nuclear weapons. Add to that more interference regarding Kashmir, which given the present situation, can prove disastrous for India. The only positive aspect might be some additional pressure on Pakistan to clean up its act. How I wish Bush could be reelected for another 8 years... McCain is the best we can hope for now.

triam Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I love how someone is ignored in this thread, three cheers.
Lurker Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I love how someone is ignored in this thread' date=' three cheers.[/quote'] Richly deserved so. Why debate with some one whose knowledge is as half-baked as his manners???

You are wrong on that part..I have read articles where he talked about taking away incentives from the companies who outsource jobs. He later did some backtracking though... http://www.rediff.com/money/2008/feb/27bpo.htm Aah..so you are talking about American chumps. Good on you man!:two_thumbs_up:
