varun Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 yes' date=' varun is a genius - but i think this one was fixed by the guys at google and not by varun...[/quote'] Actually I did fix it, but it was trivial. Vbulletin wasn't able to identify the new browser correctly, so I had to mess around with some php files to make sure it did. And I'm no genius ! Just familiar with this stuff :D
varun Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 yea they fixed it I reported the bug :two_thumbs_up: It's not a bug from google. It was the similar bug that we were getting with "Safari for Windows" as well. Turns out it was a problem with the user-agent string. Since the Google browser internally uses the same rendering engine as Safari, they both get recognized as safari. Unfortunately vbulletin was assuming that the safari rendering engine should only exist for macs and wasn't able to recognize the windows version properly. I just removed that condition.

h4te Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 u use linux :woot: h4te, which browser do you use yes, I have Ubuntu now. A bit bloated for my liking...I am installing Arch soon. as for browsers, I like Kazehakase. Very lightweight. Has flash support. Works great. I still use FF if I need to watch any media.
