Ram Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 The financial sector is going through an unprecedented phase of correction. Companies are going bust by the count of one every day. My question is; Will it be the turn of the Big Automakers in the US next? Last quarter, GM made the single biggest quarterly loss ever recorded in corporate history. With oil prices still high, the job market sluggish and the credit crunch making it harder for people to secure auto loans, I simply dont see how things can get better for these Auto makers, atleast the short term. If anyone here is working in one of the big-tickets Automakers in the US, be prepared for anything.
kablooee87 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I find it sort of ironic how much government intervention we are seeing in all this.
