beetle Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 SP leader and father of suspected militant says son innocent 19 Sep 2008, 2144 hrs IST,PTI AZAMGARH: Samajwadi Party leader and father of suspected militant Mohammad Saif, who was arrested by Delhi Police after an encounter in the national capital on Friday, claimed his son was innocent and demanded a thorough probe before any punishment is meted out to him. Shadab Ahmed, vice-president of the SP's district unit, said if found guilty his son should be "shot dead". "If he is found guilty, I am ready to shoot him dead," Ahmed, who is popular as Mister, told reporters. Saif, who hails from Sanjarpur village here, had gone to Delhi to pursue a computer course from Jamia Milia Islamia. Atif, one of the two terrorists killed in the shootout, was also from the same village and had come to the capital to pursue BTech, villagers said. The terrorists were believed to be of the Indian Mujahideen, the organisation which was involved in the serial blasts in Delhi and other places including Ahmedabad. Sanjarpur is about seven km away from Binapara, the native village of Abu Bashar, the main suspect of Ahmedabad blast case who was arrested earlier. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is high time the SC takes an initiative and and declares this party a terrorist supporting party .As for Azamgarh...this place needs to be declared a terroridt infested area that needs to be disinfected.

I dont quite see anything wrong with what he is saying. Indian Agencies are quick to tag anyone as terrorist simply to cover their behind. And when it comes to proving the charges they are greatly inept. Forget this itsy bitsy person even the brother of Dawood Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar, was extadited to India(from Dubai) under pressure and then Indian agencies could prove nothing! This after a person non-grata status, Interpol alerts , getting booked under MCOCA etc etc.

The encounter lasted a long time?

DomainK Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 I pity the parents who, in most cases, actually happen to be ignorant of their child's misadventures. May be he does not know, may be he does. May be the accused is innocent, may be he is not. We dont know. But we will soon come to know.

They don't allow their children the normal outlets that most young people need to grow...but they don't teach them the real things like blowing up people is haram!I hold the families of these people equally responsible.What bloody failed parents! Parents whose children plant bombs in childrens park. These parents should kill themselves in shame ...! When that guy Kafeel Ahmed had tried to blow himself up in britain...the first thing the family had said was....he is a good boy...doesn't even watch movies. They should have taught him not to kill instead. They prohibit small things but look the other way when their sons indulge in fundamentalism.

I am willing to bet that in 99% of cases, parents know and just decide to look the other way. The mofo that caught after Mumbai train blasts had went to IRAN and then to Pakistan. The parents knew it. And when the **** hits the fan, the parents obviously cry hoarse. It is sad, but there only so much tears a nation can shed. :pray:

They just teach their children what to do what not to do....not based on whether its right or wrong, but based on the interpretations of their holy book by someone with a beard.

The police should now collect proof ,then ask for capital punishment. Even people who attacked the parliament were better than this coward scumbag. As far as I am concerned...there is no bigger monster than this guy. Even though the bomb was diffused in time...this man deserves the capital punishment.

Collecting proof becomes the most difficult part. They can find proof that he was connected and was a part of the conspiracy, but unless they get a confession, it would be very difficult to prove it that he was the one who planted that particular bomb.

While the mother of one of them came out with strong words against the anti-national activities in which his son was allegedly involved, the father of the other told the police that his family did not want to claim the body of his son killed in Kupwara area earlier this month. "If my son was involved in anti-national activities, he deserved the fate he met with...My prayers are that no woman should face the fate of being called the mother of an extremist," said Safia, the mother of Mohammad Fayas from Kannur, who was killed in the encounter. Voicing similar sentiments, Syed, whose son Abdul Raheem was also killed in the Kupwara encounter, did not want the body of his son to be brought home for last rites and burial. In a written request to police in Malappuram, Syed wanted his son's body to be buried in a graveyard attached to a mosque in Kashmir. Police said it would be faxed to authorities in J-K. According to Safia, her son was lured to the extremist cause by a friend of him called Faisal, who was arrested on Sunday. He had told Safia that her son was being sent to Bangalore where arrangements would be made for his religious studies.
