hmm interesting. But then is it only the release action & bowler speed that matter in contrast swing OR for that matter even for conventional swing? I don't think so.

Probably BS, but I wont believe it until there's some sort of evidence to demonstrate it. And btw, James Anderson bowled with conventional swing during India's tour. And besides, loads of people have been bowling with the seam vertical and at lot and high speeds. If it was true, people would have already learnt about it.

EVERY such description of the mechanism of swing is that their give the age old version saying that conventional swing needs one side to be rough. How the **** is the ball swinging in the very first over ? The rough side/smooth side thing works for the reverse swing but not for conventional swing.
