ICFers.. need your insight or tips in this matter.. I am a citizen and want to bring wife to US... File I-130 (immigration form for spouse) in June but process has been very slow from immigration office for one reason or the other.. Thing is I want to bring her here withing 3-4 months. Tallked to different people.. lawyers and friends.. and they are recommending me to file I-129F with K3 visa.. Is it a good idea? Anyone has gone through filing K3 on top of I-130 ?

K-3 visa is for fiancees only.Since you have married ' date=' your wife cannot get K-3 visa.[/quote'] you must be out of touch... K-3 are for Spouses of U.S. citizens and can come to the United States on nonimmigrant visas (K-3) and wait in the United States to complete the immigration process.

If you are a citizen bringing your spouse within 3-4 months should really not be that hard let me contact my friends who have done this recently

Veer Note: Immediate relatives (spouse/minor children/ parents - but not brothers and sisters) of U.S. citizens are exempt from any numerical restrictions). Accordingly, they do not have to wait for visa availability. http://www.immigration.com/newsletter/priority-dates-explain.html i.e, 2nd Pref ( I think ) 2A - Wait time is 5 years?? http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/visabulletin/september2008.html
