h4te
1st Test, Day 1: Khan to Hayden. given OUT. Marginal mistake. Could've gone either way. Sharma to Ponting. given NOT OUT. Probably not out.... Kumble to Katich. given NOT OUT. Marginal mistake. Could've gone either way. Kumble to Katich. given NOT OUT. Was clearly OUT. Kumble to Ponting. given NOT OUT. Not even referred. Bhajji to Ponting. given OUT. Missing Leg. Watson to Dravid. given OUT. Hit him very high, and huge stride forward....plus, maybe inside edge...too much doubt. Johnson to Ganguly. given OUT. Hit outside the line, but it looked out in real-time. unlucky, but not a mistake.... TOTAL: 2 against Aus - 4 against Ind Link to comment
DomainK
Can we complain? No. Because our idiot captain said no to referrals. Why because he just does not know how to use them. What an idiot. Get him out man, he is too old and too meek. Link to comment

It annoys me that umpires are not held accountable in the same way that players are when they dont perform. Link to comment

Chorazin Reto
rofl @ this thread ""Khan to Hayden. given OUT. Marginal mistake. Could've gone either way.""" This was clearly on replay not hitting the bat but missing it by a good 2-3 inches, poor decision, but overall balanced out by what i feel was a pretty good chance on a Katich lbw. Apart from that a lot of maybe's, pitching outside line Ponting appeal from Ishant, well down the wicket on the Katich appeal, very top of off stump on hawkeye on the Kumble, etc etc, marginals are always a percentage. None are very convincing except the Clarke lbw which was plumb. No mention of the Harba dismissal of Ponting? It was no-where near leg stump, it was going past it by a good foot, yet out, and no mention? **as an edit im assuming you people are not watching the telecast(and hawkeye playbacks), like watching a typecast or listening on a radio, Ponting was not out, the ball was no-where near leg stump** Link to comment
Chorazin Reto
""Hayden was CLEARLY out."" I think this tells me a lot about the validity of your post. h4te
bump'd and updated. 2-3 so far. so, 5 umpiring mistakes in ONE day of play. pathetic..... Link to comment
Chorazin Reto
To an umpire watching this at real time speed, yes, granted, a hard decision, a referral would have in no time without doubt gone in Haydos' favour(ball clearly did not hit bat). With the benefit of a replay clearly not out. ""Ponting was LBW atleast twice"" No, there were marginal decisions that umpires would look at and shrug, the Kumble ball that hit high on the thigh pad, Hawkeye showed this going on to hit the very top of off, low percentage on this at best. No mention of the Ponting dismissal, why not, the ball was missing leg by a good foot, yet he was adjudged lbw, admittedly a terrible shot but he was certainly not out, although playing a craptastic shot like that he probably should have been. h4te
^the LBW that hit him on his thigh isn't on the list. Blunders were: LBW not given off Kumble (Katich), Caught and bowled not given off Kumble (Ponting), LBW given off Bhajji (Ponting). The rest were marginal, and I only included those that would be overturned if replay was used. Link to comment
Chorazin Reto
""LBW not given off Kumble (Katich)"" I think this evens out the Hayden not out, might as well cancel the 2 out. And the actual dismissal of Ponting ........ ? Link to comment
HouMac
I'd say at the end of the day it evened o ut with India at a slight disadvantage. Hayden was clearly not out, and Ponting's lbw was wrong. On India's end Katich survived a pretty good lbw shout, and Ponting was obviously c&b against Kumble. The lbw shouts against him were tough ones though. Majority barely taking the bails. Chorazin Reto
Well you could argue that Ponting was out c&b not given, then out, but should not have been to the foot wide of leg stump delivery from Harba, so justice was done on punter. Link to comment
diegovegaz
definately, the ones rudi gave not out, were out katich was lbw and the caught and bowled could have been confirmed by the 3rd umpire, atleast it shouldn't have been let go so easily Link to comment
h4te
Bhajji denied a plumb LBW appeal. :D was close....but i don't think it was a blunder. it was just a very marginal decision, and probably right Link to comment
PaiN_KiLLeR
that wasn't plumb by any means. Link to comment

flamy
49.5 Watson to Dravid, OUT, Dravid is not happy at all, this one swung in, looked pretty plumb, but was mighty close to the inside edge. The bat hit the pad just before the all three - bat, ball and pad - came in close proximity to each other. Rauf lifted his finger right away, but Dravid looked disappointed. The replays suggested it might just have been pad first R Dravid lbw b Watson 51 (104b 7x4 0x6) SR: 49.03 ============================================================== Teriyaki Shimit!
