Hindu groups linked to terror, Parliament rocked CNN-IBN THE TARGETS? File photo of Malegaon where the blasts took place on Sept 29. New Delhi: For the first time ever, the issue of Hindu groups being involved in the recent terror attacks in Gujarat and Maharashtra was brought up in Parliament on Thursday. Rajya Sabha was adjourned following heated protests over the alleged involvement of Hindu “terrorist groups†in the explosions in Malegaon and Modasa on September 29. Hindu groups have been accused of being involved in similar acts of terror in Maharashtra in the past, often with the support of their families Samajwadi Party MP Rashid Alvi and the CPM's Brinda Karat brought up the issue in the Upper House but the BJP reacted violently to the argument and raised slogans. CNN-IBN was the first to report that extremist Hindu groups were behind the Malegaon and Modasa blasts that took place during the holy month of Ramzan. “A report said Hindu extremist outfits were responsible for the blasts In Malegaon and Modassa in September. Maharashtra ATS has said that in Nanded and other blasts, Bajrang Dal and other Hindu Extremist outfits were involved,†Brinda said. Reacting to Brinda Karat's comments on communities being associated with terror, Union Minister Kapil Sibal said terror has no religion. “All those who indulge in violence are criminals. Do not associate criminals with any community,†he said. Sources have told CNN-IBN that the Hindu Jagran Manch, an Indore based group is the main suspect. Five Muslims were killed in Maharashtra's Malegaon and one in Gujarat's Modasa town.

Why is this even a question? Are groups like Bajrang Dal terror groups? Of course. Forget Muslims even common Hindus feel frighetend when they see a mob of Bajrang Dal. Much as the case may be made for Trishul being different from Talwar in the end they are cut from the same cloth. Ban them? Indeed I say. Have done nothing good for the nation. This country has gone down the poopers ever since Babri Masjid happened. And yes Hindu terror groups were responsible for that as well.

what is evensad though is that the present govt doent have the guts to ban them and the next govt which is surely gonna be bjp doesnt have the will to ban them.

As the days go by, i begin to realize more and more that what India really needs is a Mao Zedong of sorts. I see the last 2200 years of Indian history and religion is the single biggest pothole in the road of our history. It was a hindu zealot (Pushyamitra Sunga) who ended the most powerful imperial force in India- the Mauryas- who, if only had they persisted for another couple of hundred years, would've given us a strong sense of single nation across the ENTIRE subcontinent ( that is Qandahar-Balkh to Burma!). But no, a fanatic hindu nutter had to destroy that. It was religion too, that opened the doorway to the barbaric Arab-turkoman destruction of the subcontinent's advanced civilization : again, i don't find it a mere coincidence that for 300 years before the Arabs and Ghaznis showed up, Indus to assam was basically three empires - Pal, Rashtrakuta and Pratihara : a buddhist, jain and hindu empire that fought each other to near destruction, opening the doorway for more religion based bloodshed with the heinous religion of Islam descending on our land and completely collapsing any sense of intellectual freedom, innovation and standard of living. And lets not forget 1947, 4 wars since then and the madness in the subcontinent, all the root evil of religion. What India needs is a movement- preferrably social and from the people, but i will take a general if thats the only alternative- that will ban religion alltogether. Turn ALL temples, mosques, gurdwaras and churches into museum and religion does not leave your house - anyone- doesnt matter the number - who challenges this, disappears and gets fed to the alligators and tigers. That is what our nation needs to lift the curse of religion and all this God nonsense that is perpetually used as a divisive agent and a root cause of us being a third world slum nation of barbarians today. i cant say i admire much about the communists - except their total disdain for the mass delusion of religion, something we indians are acutely infected with. And if there is one thing i admire about the Chinese and the Japanese is that their civilization has never come under total grip of the stupidity of religion- something our civilization has been held hostage to for millenias. **** Ram, **** krishna, **** mohammed, **** jesus,**** buddha,**** mahavira. **** them all because despite whatever their intentions may've been, the end result is that our region is held back in the medieval times and attitudes by this huge ball and chain known as religion. If i could ever get hold of a maoist honcho in India, i'd make a plea for the maoists to stop blowing up our policemen and troops- instead, they should blow up masjids, gurdwaras, temples, churches, slaughter the bajrang dal, the karsevaks and all the equivalent religious crusader organizations in India- afterall, part of the maoist charter is to fight this plague of religion. Wish they'd focus more on that instead of our troops and police who are very much needed and vital for our national health.

Not surprising at all. Since 2006, 4 VHP members have been found dead (on 2 separate occasions) while trying to manufacture bombs. Some Hindus who live in a world of denial refuse to believe that chaddiwaalas are capable of manufacturing and planting bombs in public places.

unfortunately, atheism is a religion in and of itself. as long as one believes in something, you have a "religion"

The police should act fast before this gets out of hand like the so called islamic terrorism has.Hang the bastards and their supporters! This country is so full of sickos who just need any excuse to blow up people!

Anyone who is creating trouble in the name of religion should be immediately put behind the bars. Orissa was peaceful place for the 20 years I lived there. Its all ruined now.

You have been one? Please give me your definition of an atheist.

True...btw, i am not advocating atheism - i am not an atheist- i am an agnost. To me, the words of Buddha make the most sense : Whether 'a creator God' exists or not is unknown and irrelevant - if it was relevant, we'd have known for sure without any doubt. That all this God stuff is pure speculation, lies and power-control mechanism, i choose to be agnostic - God may exist, God maynot exist, all i know is that i don't really care and whether or not this universe has a creator is irrelevant to how we lead our lives .

ehem, let see now. "athiest".... a = without, theos = having to to with god or divinity ->>>> without god. if the idea of god is a 'belief' then the idea of not god is similarily a 'belief'. in other words, you BELIEVE that god doesn't exist, just as someone else believes he does. which actually puts you into the same boat. that is atheism is a religion in and of itself in the sense that it is a ideology which necessitates the believer to hold unsubstantiated claims as fact. the fact that there is no organized atheist movement is irrelevant since the varios sectarianism found in religions means that 'organized' religion is itself disorganized.

Thats got to be one of the weirdest logic I have ever heard. How is "believing" in God the same as "not believing" in Him? Next you are going to tell me "enjoying" watching cricket is same as "not enjoying" cricket? Or "loving" a girl is the same as if she "doesnt love" you?? Being religious involves a LOT more than merely God. For example if one is a Hindu, or a Buddhist, he/she believes in Reincarnation(and eternal salvation). If you are a Muslim you believe in pillars like Zakat, and characters like Dajjal. If you are a Christian you believe in Resurrection of Christ, Anti-christ etc etc. Then of course there is the whole concept of heaven-hell/swarg-narak/jannat-jahannum. On the other hand athiesm simply dismisses everything connected with God. It doesnt talk about any characters, afterlife or what happens after one closes his eyes. I am still perplexed why Athiesm would be called a religion. If the notion of "without" in front of the word makes it similar then I suppose asymetrical is same as symetrical! Heck explore it further and perhaps Anti-Christ is the same as Christ as well! xxx

suspension of civil liberties are almost always synonymous with such "revolutionary leaders"... change is gradual and quite frankly we are getting there. just spread education, and lay emphasis on inquiry and rationale... the rest will fall into place. religion is like that two headed serpent that wont die any time soon... and just when you think you are sliding away from the vicious head, you are nearing the other end. give it time and give it science, and sure as rain, religion will be done with.
