Some were saying he shud be dropped to take 5 bowlers. Against Aus u dont drop laxman in Test match. he again showed his worth. we shud do 6+1+4 (kuble vs mishra is diff story, but cant drop vvs and take mishra)
from a test team u never drop VVS. When he seems to be down in form he rises from the bottom. All he needs to do is learn how to convert say a 54 or a 79 to a bigger score.

But why would VVS' spot be in question to begin wtih? He's been consistently solid for years now. Never out of form for any significant length. If India do ever plan on playing 5 bowlers, Dravid should be the one on the outs. Minnows not included he averages below 30 over the last 2 years. 32 overall.

Rahul Dravid is the one who wud be feeling all the pressure now..the only reason that ppl dont speak abt Dravid's position being in doubt is because of the volume of runs that he scored in his peak and also because of his numerous rescue acts when India were starring defeat..VVS has always been consistent but never that great..great in the sense his innings has always been overshadowed by something greater at the other end and he almost goes unnoticed..but now RD is struggling big time and if he doesnt deliver in the coming series against England he will surely feel the pinch..i wont be surprised if the selectors do send a msg to Dravid too if he continues failing like this..

I dont think VVS gets enough credit for his rescue acts ... Look at the first test in Bangalore , or the 3rd Test earlier this year in Perth, or the Test last year in Lords, or the innings' he played in Adelaide and Calcutta, and the following match in Chennai. VVS has really been a go to man for us when we've been under pressure.

Our test team - VVS Laxman = VERY susceptible batting line-up.
