DomainK
He is not only a great bowler with personal skills and abilities, but he also is a man of great knowledge and wisdom. He knows everything there is to know about spin bowling. And yes, the man can inspire. He can inspire to bowl well and compete relentlessly. Our spin department will be in some crisis after Kumble's departure. Bhajji is inconsistent, Mishra is too raw, Chawla is inexperienced and a bit limited as well. We need someone to groom the youngsters coming in now. And who better than Anil for the job? The selfless champion of spin bowling has a lot more to contribute to Indian cricket. We should retain him. Link to comment

As Domaink mentioned, AK is too off a mellow guy. I would love Saurav Ganguly as BCCI president instead and AK as our treasurer :--D Link to comment

flamy
Anil is very wise and articulate. I liked his agenda that he put out when he became captain. He still has a lot more to give Indian Cricket. However, I can't wait before Dada becomes coach. Classic movie moment :D Link to comment

bharat297
we got to have the guys like AK in authority positions in bcci where they can bring about changes Finey ... as if they'll ever let a southie run Indian cricket. Especially an honest, decent , selfless guy like Kumble. We'll always have idiots like Pawar, or Shah or Modi calling the shots. Link to comment
THX_1138
might be a bit hasty... there needs to be transitory period... almost a period for maturation... for his approach to transform from that of a captain and a fellow player to one of a coach and leader. Link to comment
