bharat297 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 This is what sets Sachin apart from all the other contemporaries ... Anyone who doesnt think he has to deal with additional pressure ... Have a look at what we just saw ... The entire crowd just stood still for 15 antagonising minutes. To have that kind of aura is unbelievable. Lara had it too but not this extent.
Guest HariSampath Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Fantastic 100, maybe a bit lucky, but a most important 100 on Day 1 in a last test. I had been anticipating this all series Dan , remember what I said during SL series, that the 40th will come only in BG trophy, actually that should have been 2 100s, but unfortunately Sachin missed out in Mohali with 88

fineleg Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 3 chances, but neverthless he stood through and completed the 40th ton - well done. I still can't believe VVS and SRT took off for that non-existent single. Just wth!
King Tendulkar Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 He know has most hundreds in India, breaking the great gavaskars record. Sachin now has 17!
SachDan Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 sigining with RBS has been very lucky for Sachin. He should contemplate charging them less !!
cochise Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Yes....FANTASTIC!!! But I wonder why he changed his batting approach from 60 to his ton....he seemed to go into a shell and even after his ton, he lost the momentum. If only he kept it going, we could have had a really big one from him....aiiii.... But never mind. He still got it!
Ram Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Yoohooooooooooo! :yay: A much awaited 100 from the master, tis been a while coming, but what an important time to make it. Once again, Sachin has delivered against Aus in the deciding test of a series!
SachDan Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Ton in important match is satisfying: Sachin NAGPUR: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday said his 40th Test century was very satisfying because it came in the series-deciding fourth and final match against Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. "This match is very important in deciding the series and making a century in this match is very satisfying," said the ace batsman at the end of the first day's play at the newly built VCA stadium in Jamtha. Tendulkar made 109, his 10th ton against Australia and fourth in this city, before getting out at the *** end of the day after coming in when India were in some trouble at 116 for three before lunch. He put on 146 runs with V V S Laxman, playing in his 100th Test, to pull the hosts around to a close of play total of 311 for five. Tendulkar said India were in a good position now though ideally it should have not lost more than three wickets at close. "We are in a good position. But we should have lost not more than three wickets. The wicket is helping the spinners and has some bounce too. We have an advantage in winning the toss but we need to put a good total and more importantly need to get the opposition out for a small score," he said. Tendulkar said he was playing well without getting to three figures in the last seven games. "I am batting well but three-figure innings eluded me. But that is not everything. I am more satisfied that on four occasions (in the period) I have played crucial innings and contributed to the team's purpose," he said.
